Apollo’s Raven by Linnea Tanner tells the story of Catlin, a Celtic princess who has been cursed due to her father’s past actions. Although she is granted awe-inspiring powers, such as the ability to see through the eyes of her raven guide and access the “Otherworld,” these gifts also come with a cost. Unfortunately for Catlin, she is under intense pressure to quickly and efficiently learn to control her powers in order to save her entire kingdom from the wrath of her banished half-brother, who is ultimately aided by the curse… and by their enemies in Rome. As the story progresses, Catlin finds herself caught between the need to protect her own and her newfound love for a Roman captive. What (or who) will she choose? Read the novel and find out.

There were a variety of things that I enjoyed about this book. The plot was extremely entertaining and engaging, and the characters were beautifully complex. Furthermore, the descriptive language chosen by the author very much enhanced the narrative, giving the story a nice flow that will keep readers engaged from start to finish. Ultimately, I very much enjoyed reading this novel, and I believe that many other readers will as well.

There was absolutely nothing that I disliked about this book. I was unable to find any grammar, punctuation, or spelling errors, nor was I able to find any major plot holes or anything of the kind. Put simply, this book was very well-written and well-edited.

I decided to rate Apollo’s Raven by Linnea Tanner 5 out of 5 stars. Not only was this novel engaging and extraordinarily well-written, but it was also very enjoyable to read and contained no discernible errors. As a result, I feel that it is worthy of an “excellent” rating.

I would recommend this book primarily to readers who enjoy fantasy. However, I would not recommend this book to younger fantasy readers due to the presence of profanity, sexual scenes, ritualistic violence, and consistent mentions of potentially triggering topics, including rape and murder.
