This story seems to be a perfect example of the upheaval warfare could bring to our simple, day-to-day life. I would love to read more about how the Klaus family fared. Thanks for the review!

This sounds like an excellent book. Your review has me wanting to find out what happened to this family. I would normally skip a book like this one. I guess I had better add this to my must read list. Thank you for not giving any spoilers!

A historical fiction set in the era of WWII. It is told from a young women's perspective and has a great way of captivating the reader's attention. Thanks for the review. Congrats on BOTD

This fictional story shows the dilemma of some people who were born during the Nazi Germany era; having no control of the policies in place but subject to them.

This book sounds very emotional and perfect for fans of historical fiction and character-driven fiction. It’s rare to get insight into the life of an ordinary citizen of Nazi Germany during World War II in fiction; the last that I can remember seeing is in the movie Swing Kids. This book could be worth reading for the historical significance alone. Thank you for the helpful review.

This book is written about a time in history that has a horrible stain on it but through the eyes of a family living through it. It should interesting to read about how their lives unfolded over the years. Congrats on #BOTD

I normally stray from books that are about Nazi Germany or slavery because the material is usually too heavy for me to digest. Since this story's backdrop is about family and unity, then it will make it easier for me to read. I'm going to give this book a chance because I want this family unit to prosper during this horrible regime in Germany's history.

“Once We Were Family: in Nazi Germany by Nancy Saling Graham is a fictional drama that takes place in Nazi Germany and follows Annalise Klaus, a German born many years before the Nazi occupation and her family during the WWII and after. Annalise has 5 siblings and her father was a university professor that saw his Jewish colleagues taken away by the Nazis. Her brother Herman earned an engineering degree and was forced to work for the Nazis. Her brother Hans was forced to join the Nazi army and the twins were indoctrinated by the Nazis. Read this well written eye-opening book to learn Annalise and her family’s fate. Does she find love? Did her parents and siblings survive the war?

This fictional book seems to be an interesting one. The Klaus family endured a lot as the war caused separation and indoctrination by the Nazi party. I hope the family pulls through the war as a single united family. Thanks for the review.
