The storyline of this historical fiction sounds sorrowful with so many events ending in pain. Although the Nazis are known for so many wrongdoings and I am not surprised this one too contained such a story. Congrats to the author on #BOTD!

Having 61 chapters was at first a turnoff. However, the storyline of the book is so emotional, seeing a family being divided and each family member having to endure challenges and struggles in their lives after the Nazis take over Germany. Congrats on #BOTD!

Its well-developed characters have mesmerized me as I've read the few chapters so far. I am certain that I will adore the plot. With the conflict, Klaus' family appears to be suffering many difficulties. I adore the readable words the author uses to convey the gripping tale. Greetings on your BOTD, author!

The book talks about the story of Annalise Klaus, who was born before the occupation of the Nazi party. The novel cover the lives she and her other sisters live before and after the reign of the Nazi war. I like how the book contains a plot twist and how the characters are well-developed. Nice review.

Books based on the times immediately before, after and during the war can be really exceptional as this one seems to be. I'd really love to know Annalise's family better and see if and how the Nazi regime changed them as individuals. Very insightful review. Great job.

I avoid reading war related stories as I don’t like to read about violence, and the tragedy surrounding it. I hope this book is thoroughly enjoyed by the right audience. Congrats on the BOTD!

It seems like no amount of fiction can truly capture the true cruelty experienced by people under Nazi occupation.

It is depressing reading the horrible things the Nazi Party did while in power, especially with the persecution of Jews. Through the eyes of Annalise and her siblings, we watch these horrible crime against humanity play out. I would like to know how Annalise and her family members cope with these, especially their dad who watched her Jewish colleagues in the university whisked away.

This is a rather realistic fictional story portraying the devastating effects of the Nazi occupation of Germany, which resulted in crushed hopes and bleak prospects for a family. Your review touches on crucial aspects of characterization. Thank you for the thorough analysis.

This story is so real to be a fictional one. I totally connected to it. It depicted the life experiences of Annalise Klaus. It was indeed a life filled with ups and downs. I hope the story ended up being inspiring. Congrats on BOTD.
