This seems to be an informative handbook on one of the significant memories in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn; specifically in the area of architectural innovations. The book is even more appealing given the author's inquiry into the lives of those architects that constructed these great buildings. I hope to read about some of them, especially Charles Pratt.

I can't claim to be a fan of architecture, so this book is not for me. Great work by the author.

Non-fiction books are not my cup of tea and though I do enjoy old architecture I'm the kind of person who wants to see something once and remember about it the whole life than to read about many times. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I love historical books and I love architecture. The Architecture of Historic Clinton Hill sounds like a delightful book and opportunity to get to know more about New York, that great city. Great review!

Thank you for this great review! Although I am not interested in architecture and historical buildings, I get the feeling this is an excellent read! Clinton Hill sure has some unique and memorable mansions.

Homes used to be built to last a long time. Hopefully, current architects and engineers will read this book to see how it is done. Thank you for your interesting review.

Although I do not know much about architecture, this book seems written for people like me, in simple language, with clear explanations. In the previous centuries, New York used to be a place where monumental, magnificent buildings arose.

I am glad to see you enjoyed the history of old buildings. I grew up in a construction family. My dad was a stonemason and bricklayer. It would have been helpful to anyone not familiar with the terminology for you to explain what quion means.

It is interesting to find a book that draws my attention to old structures constructed in the 19th century and are still looking outstanding till date, with documented story about their origin and architect.
I read how the architectural styles adopted in those days are still fascinating till date. I look forward to read this book.

I really liked your review. However, I do not think that this is my kind of book, so I will pass. For those who are interested in architecture, I'm sure that this book will be fascinating for them.

Centralizing on the construction of Clinton Hill in Brooklyn, New York.
That's intriguing.

The book is not just a story; it is a documentation of the works of talented architects during the 19th century.
- I like admiring real-life architecture, not reading about it. This is not my cup of tea. However, I am grateful for your review. Thank you.
