This sounds like such an interesting documentation of the architecture of these old buildings. I always enjoy driving through the historic districts of my city and seeing the lovely old mansions.

I have visited New York a few times but I have never heard of these historical buildings in Brooklyn. I like looking at old and beautiful buildings but I don’t know if reading a book about it will interest me. Thank you for your review .

The Architecture of Historic Clinton Hill by Mr. Rickie James would help the lovers of architectural styles and architects who designed the famous mansions in Brooklyn, New York, from 1830 to 1930.

From a sampling, this seems like a very intriguing historical account of the architectural structures of Clinton Hill in Brooklyn from the 19th and 20th Centuries. This book is definitely worth a second look, especially for fans of both architecture and history. Well done.

When I saw the title I thought it's about Bill Clinton and his mansions, so I decided not to read this book. However, I changed my mind when the OBC review mentioned that history to the mansions that serve as landmarks in New York. Moreover, the architects behind these buildings deserve the recognition written in this book. Congratulations on the BOTD.

Wow, I'll love to experience the mentioned buildings and locations through the author's eyes. It's amazing how architects can come up with a magnificent design out of thin air. I wonder if I'll be able to understand while reading. Congratulations on winning BOTD.

Thank you for your review. I would like to see the pictures, though I'm not aware of Historic Clinic Hill. This sounds like a great book for those that like reading about architecture and are familiar with New York. I will pass on this one, but glad that you enjoyed the book and the editing was great.

I hardly see books where the author identifies and acknowledges architects for their immense efforts in building up a structure. Congratulations on BOTD!

Though I'm not a fan of old structures nor do I have an interest in them, I still love how Rickie T. James takes the time to identify old structures and their architects. It would be helpful or useful for those who love history.

"The Architecture of Historic Clinton Hill" by Mr Rickie James describes the architecture of the Clinton Hill area of New York City from 1830-1930. The author describes the structures and the architects involved in their iconic design. Since these structures still stand today it would be possible to study this book and then go to tour these buildings even if only from the street views.
