Review of Endgame
Violence and terrorism are forces to reckon with. More often than not, only victims of terrorism understand what it means to sleep with both eyes open. Endgame, written by William Reed, is more of an eye-opener than just a novel.
No matter how tough a situation appears, an idea in the right direction is all that is needed to put a stop to the problem. Nat is one of those individuals who demonstrated selflessness in this book. He occupied himself with the responsibility of putting an end to terror. He came up with a crazy idea, which he discussed with his superior. Although the idea was geared towards achieving the goal at hand, there were challenges facing its accomplishment that needed to be tackled. You don't want to miss how it turned out. Was it successful? Read the book to find out.
This book was quite interesting. Nat's relationship with his family is worthy of emulation. I liked the way he would always seek his wife's opinion on matters before embarking on his plans. Worthy of mention is how he balances work and family, making sure that neither lacks the required attention. I got to learn a few things about certain countries mentioned in the book. The zoo incident added some spice to the story. I enjoyed Gregory and Tanya's characters. It showed that well-trained children can get to any height without limits. It was really surprising to note that both were doing all they could and knew all they knew at such a young age. Sonja is not left out; her parenting skills are top-notch. I got to know about some Russian dishes, even though I don't have plans to try them out.
There was nothing I disliked about the book. The writing style of the author was impressive. It was well written. The book had fully developed characters and was such an easy read. I also learned applicable lessons. One of the things reading this book taught me was how to think outside the box. I also learned that there's no harm in a trial. Choosing this book wasn't a bad idea.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I found some errors. It was professionally edited. I didn't find a sufficient reason to deduct a star, hence the perfect rating. I recommend this book to history lovers, students of religion studies, crime fighters, and people involved in politics.
