Being married to someone that is not an American, I can assume some of the things that the author assumed about "the American Dream." Right now we live abroad, but my husband wants to move to the U.S. I'm interested to read this book to see what the author thought. Thanks for your review.

So much can be gleaned from an anecdotal account of someone seeing America for the first time. It gets so much more across than news articles or endless debates about immigration. It sounds like this book gets a very nice message across with humor and candid stories.

I had to admit that I 've never been in America. Though I heard a lot of good things, but never in my plan to migrate in this country. You're correct, what USA is trying portrait is being into a more positive state of mind. That's all we need. And war is not an option. But a PEACE! Thanks for the wonderful review!

Beyond the Golden Door by Ali Master, the theme alone is another level, a lot can be revealed. I like how Ally unpacked the story of being an immigrant. I'm learning about defferent cultures, religion, tradition ,and admiring each other as unique as we are.I like it I rate 5 out of 5. congratulations on BOTD

Beyond the Golden Door via Ali Master is a compelling coming-of-age tale approximately the nature of identity and belonging, as seen via the eyes of a young Pakistani-American boy developing up in New York City. In his debut novel, Master crafts an evocative portrait of the immigrant enjoy, depicting both the struggles and triumphs of assimilating to a new culture.

The protagonist, Farah, is caught between two worlds—his traditional Pakistani roots and the ever-shifting cultural panorama of the New York City. In an try and experience as though he belongs, Farah embraces the hip hop culture of the metropolis, embracing hip hop style, song, and language. Through Farah's exploration of identification, Master delves into the complexities of generational and cultural divides, exploring problems along with racism, single-determine families, and gang involvement.

The novel is written in a lovely, poetic fashion, taking pictures the vividness of Farah's New York City world. Moreover, Farah's dating together with his aunt, Siddiqa, similarly enhances the story as an exam of a ways-attaining familial bonds.

Overall, Beyond the Golden Door is an awesome exploration of the identity struggles that many immigrants face while trying to make a lifestyles in a new U . S . A .. The novel is a profound reminder of ways the whilst we embrace the diversity of subculture and strive to understand one another, only then can we bridge the divide of cultural false impression.
I'm gonna rate it 5 out of 5.

The book is an engaging and insightful look at the American Dream through the eyes of an immigrant. The author does a great job of capturing the challenges and triumphs that come with the immigrant experience. The characters are well-developed and their stories are compelling. The setting is well-described and gives a clear sense of place.

Having no knowledge of Shia Muslim culture, I think it'd be interesting to read about this and learn more. I'd also be interested to read about the American freedoms that the author values.

The reviews are interesting. Curiosity about other cultures has always been part of human nature. The American dream for many immigrants has many meanings. The most important among them is freedom to choose and not have someone else decide for you. I would like to read it for myself .
