I like that all the four books in this Doctoroo series aims at educating children about health and hygiene. I like that this book has very eye-catching illustrations and an incredible storyline that will keep children hooked!

'Official Review: Doctoroo & the Case of the Hacking Hippo' by Dr. Rachel B. Wellner has a solid introduction. It sheds light on the various features of the children's book. The point that the author used the story to inform readers of proper hygienic mistakes that affect our general health and well-being is worth mentioning in the review. Also, as mentioned in the review, the point that the book contained very colorful pictures and excellent illustrations that further portrayed the author's message is remarkable for readers. It was great to learn that the reading experience was as if the author was telling a folktale!

Really loved the review. The reviewer first introduces the book and the author and then goes on to summarise and more or less build up intrigue for the book with the second paragraph. I loved the fact that the later paragraphs also go into detail as to why they enjoyed the book and if I'd enjoy it either. I'm eager to finish it now and solve some of its mysteries myself and probably read it later to my younger cousin. He absolutely loves colourful books. Thanks for the great review.

On the surface, this charming story, featuring the hero Doctoroo, who helps Hilda the Hacking Hippo with her hacking cough, is a great lesson in hygiene and the possible reasons we may cough. Initially, I thought of a different kind of hacking. This was clarified early in the story. As with the other books in the series, this one is beautifully illustrated. Animal characters are ideal for children to learn from.

It explains about microscopic germs which we can't see but which can settle on our bodies and be ingested so easily. I would have liked to see viruses included in this story. Covid 19 is a virus and a virus is not a germ. Maybe oversimplification for clarity is for the sake of the children who read the story. As an adult I felt this facet of the explanation was missing. I thoroughly enjoyed Doctoroo's steady exploration until the end, when he solved the mysterious reason for Hilda's cough.

Very insightful topic and well illustrated book. Children are easily exposed to germs that could cause serious health problems. This book is a creative way to educate them on personal hygiene and cleanliness. Thank you for a nice review.
