I’m married to a non reader, but he enjoys podcasts and watching videos, so it’s never been an issue.
I would think for other people, it wouldn’t matter if they read or not. They would just need to have a hobby or activity that they could enjoy during reading time.

for me getting into a romantic relationship with someone who doesn't read can't break the love that is between you and the other person,
love is the only link that can't be damaged between people

Depends why they don't. If it is because they are not good at reading they will be made. I am a teacher and teachers aid. (Good at remedial reading for those who struggle with it). In fact because I am already married (we both love reading) I wouldn't need to date them to help them.

Not everyone likes to read novels or any book and I'm okay with that but if the person I am dating is not okay with them nah I'm good. Most of the people I know still think I'm weird for being into books so I don't think I can actually date someone who doesn't read books

I understand that reading it's not for everyone, but I get bored when I don't have anyone to talk to about books. None of my friends are readers, so the only way I can talk with other readers is thanks do social media. A partner who reads would be awesome.

I am married to someone who doesn’t read and it hasn’t affected my in any way. I think it’s about respecting the other person’s preferences and paying some interest when they have something to say.

I don't think that's going to be a problem for me. Everything will work out fine if I am given the space to read my books in peace while you do whatever it is you like to do. But there will be issues if I hear snarky comments concerning my love for books while I read. We don't particularly have to like the same things, a topic mustn't come up from a book either one of us has read, so I guess it's fine.
:D Hi! Thanks for stopping by to read my reviews. Leave a reply and let me see what you think about my reviews and the books I review. I'll be willing to take any corrections and grateful for any replies. Thanks! :tiphat:

Aha... I get you there. Well, for me I like to be in relationship with someone of like mind. And if I like to read and you don't like to read, we might not work. I will feel like a line person in an island!

Yes I could date someone who don’t read because maybe they can’t and most people don’t read.

I am currently dating someone who doesn't read. It genuinely doesn't both me as much as I thought it would. He understands how much I enjoy reading and allows me that space, which I feel is a good compromise. He also listens to me rant about my books and describe what I'm reading whenever I get to a really good part!

I did date someone who didn't read but at that time i wasn't an avid reader. I broke up with someone because i gave less time to then and the reason was i was reading more. I think now i could date someone who doesn't read but it will be harder than normal considering he won't understand if i go mia for a day or two bcz i am reading and i won't be able to talk about the books and stories much with him

My fiance doesn't really read. He doesn't necessarily dislike reading but he's a very active man who never seems to sit still long enough to read. This doesn't bother me in the slightest.

In saying this, since our son was born he will sit with him and read to him. He's actually great at reading aloud. He does voices and sound effects. My son absolutely loves it.

I think it's ok if I date someone who doesn't read. I would like her to read and learn things but if she doesn't, I'm still ok with it. I myself am not that much of a reader but I think we can create a habit out of it 😅.

It would be alright as long as he does support my choice and don't think that reading is wasting of time. I would like someone who reads so we can together read but if no then someone who understands me.
