This seems to be an exciting book. Jones is a typical example of wanting the best for Arnold, his son. Unfortunately, this desire for the best for his son forces him into pressuring him to perform better in sports. This causes emotional and phycological trauma in Arnold. I hope Arnold will not fall into the same abuse as Jones with Billy. Thanks for the review.

The pursuit of excellence and victory can often drive coaches and parents to push their kids to be perfect and victorous. This story focuses on baseball and bond between a father and his son.

This is an interesting book. I hope Billy doesn't go through the same abuse his father went through, and I hope Arnold was able to shield Billy from the mounting pressure. I'll definitely check this book out!
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

Arnold is a victim of what many children suffer, his father has the best intentions, but unfortunately, ends up hurting his son.

It will take strong discipline in the case of Arnold for him not to slip into being the same type of father to Billy as his father was to him.
This book sounds like an interesting and an educative read for everyone. Congratulations on BOTD.

This is an inspiring book. Comparing children's capacity to your own is never a good thing as everyone is born best in something. What Arnold passed through many children are affected by it and I would love to know how Arnold turns out to be. Congrats on the BOTD.

I am not a coach, but I work with university sports and grew up doing all the club and travel sports imaginable. This sounds like a relatable story! Thanks for your detailed review.

The author has taken a great deal to vividly describe the world of sports. I have not seen a book on sports but movies I have. The world of sports is very important for both physical benefit and entertainment. I appreciate the nice review done. Congratulations to today's BOTD

Based on the official review of this story, I'm already invested and am going to buy the book. Abuse is one of those things that are learned and, usually, passed down from parent to child because it's an inherited cycle. I'm praying that Arnold does not go down the same path as his father and project that evilness on his son.

Sports towns and sports parents play a huge role in "Billy Jones's Father" by Fred Engh. The story follows a relentless sports dad and then his son and grandson. Thankfully, the grandson has a discerning and wise mother and she deflects and guides the father in the right direction. Her name is Sara and she is a hero for the family.

There's every tendency that the trait and character of Scott will pass on to Arnold, but there are some exceptions that happens as result of determination. I am looking forward to reading this book to find out. Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day.

Scott really pushed Arnold and tried him. I am very curious to know if Arnold passes this abusive behavior on his child, Billy. Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day.
