A fictional story revolving around sports which also includes “tough love” is a good topic, but it isn’t one for me. Sports enthusiasts will thoroughly enjoy this book. Congrats on the BOTD!

One of the things I love about sports is the discipline it teaches through the training process. Coaching is one thing that determines the success of any sports team. This is an interesting book that all we learn one lesson or another; as a child, fathers, coaches, and members of sports teams.

Parents pushing their kids to excel, up to the point of it being abuse, is a harsh reality. The topic of this novel is a painful one. I wonder indeed if Arnold will be able to be a better coach for his son.

Given the fact that this book retells the verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse Billy Jones received from his father, I can already tell that it would be hard for readers to read and go through the book.
Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

Seems like a book that will help aspiring coaches and people who are planning to indulge themselves in some sport to be aware of the situations and how important it is to act wisely. A situation handled badly can spoil a person's whole career. Amazing review!

Billy would sure be a great coach but his son might not fully understand the reason behind his dad willing to be his coach. Congratulations on the BOTD!

The engaging anecdotes in 'Billy Jones's Father And the Apple Tree' shed light on the pressures of coaching. I'm moved by Charlie's story and grateful for his mother's intervention. With a mix of seriousness and playfulness, this book promises an insightful read.

I just want to add that his book isn't only limited to Sport enthusiasts and aspiring coaches; anyone who wants to be a better parent should also hop on it. It exposes one to positive parenting.

I am curious to see how the theme of generational trauma is conveyed in this book and if Arnold manages to avoid becoming his father while training his son. I like that the author used sports as a device to show the relationship between fathers and sons. Congratulations on BOTD.

There's a lot I'd like to know about. Did Arnold turn into a replica of his father? What did Charlie Dobrinski's coach do that was so abhorrent? Sounds quite intriguing. Very insightful review, thanks.

Emotional damage is worse than the physical one. I think Amold should learn from Scott's mistake so that Billy can be abetter person. Comparison and emotional abuse discourages children. Great review. Congratulations on BOTD.

Your review was very well-written and interesting, but I honestly don't think this book sounds like it would be for me, as I don't really have an interest in seeing Billy's story.

This seems to be a great story about sports and in the way of coaching people in the sport. This could give everyone a better understanding of coaches. And help people who are already coaching or are going to coach.

Arnold's childhood experience obviously impacted on him negatively.
I hope history will not repeat itself regarding his son and his sports life.
Great review! Congrats on the BOTD.
