Wow, it sounds like the author really knows how to deliver imagery onto the page. This isn't my favourite genre, but I'm glad you loved it as much as you did, meticulous editing also makes the enjoyment even better.

Galen Bray is hoping for a fresh start when he takes over his uncle's blacksmith business in Voulhire. But he will have to face different types of adversities in this new land. This metaphysical fantasy book is filled with rich characters and unique plot lines. Thank you for the thorough, well-written book review.

I loved the way the author in this novel was able to develop the setting as well as the characters. I also like reading about other characters' points of view. With all the mystery and excitement in the book, you will not get bored.

Matthew Tysz seems to be a very creative dark fantasy writer. The protagonist Galen Brayhaving endured oppression, servitude, and starvation as a child in the lands of the princes, what will he do when caught amid the power struggle between the emperor's sons. I am curious to know. Your review is so well written. Congratulations on the BOTD!

The book sounds exciting full of events and various twists and turns. I like a fantasy and it will be interesting to read about Galen's adventures as he tries to find his place in a new environment and about the confrontations between the King and the Knights. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Fantasy isn't my usual genre, but I grabbed a copy of this one! I love that the author included a map, not only so readers get a sense of where everything is located, but because it will also help with visualization. I think today's BOTD is going to become a quick favorite of many! Thank you so much for your review and keep up the great work!! :-)

I absolutely love the Voulhire series and have enjoyed each and every installment. This first book was obviously the one that got me into the series and made me read the rest.

I got this book by chance way back and even though it certainly wasn't what I was anticipating after reading the description I surprisingly was able to enjoy it enormously, anyway. I couldn't rest until I was able to read the whole series and ended up as huge fan of it!
