A Dream for Peace is a memoir that starts with one man's thirst for education and concludes with his significant service to his nation and people. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, the author, was born in a small Algerian hamlet during a time when colonization was taking place and Algerians were battling for independence.

He loved his mother because she was there for him all the time when he was a kid. He was imprisoned alongside Côte d'Ivoire native Antoinette, who would later become his first wife after losing his mother. His imprisonment did not stop him from seeking peace because he was in Morocco to assist the populace.

The author's unrelenting commitment to promoting peace in several African countries is what I like most about this book. I was thoroughly absorbed in the pages as I observed the author's tenacious pursuit of his goals, unfazed by the multiple challenges he faced. I was also incredibly intrigued by his lack of self-interest in starting a revolution. He was imprisoned and subjected to torture, yet he remained unwavering, using these ordeals as motivation to further his efforts. The book also helps the reader better understand the consequences of colonialism and the pain experienced in Africa by offering insightful information on these historical facts. In various passages, the author uses appealing imagery to clarify ideas that may have initially been ambiguous, showcasing his brilliant imagination.

Nothing about this book bothers me. It was more enjoyable to read overall because there were graphics included with the text. It is clear that the book is incredibly well-written and addresses significant issues that are sure to have a lasting impression on its readers.

I found no errors in the book's pages, which indicates that it was exceptionally edited. I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars without any reservations. People who read it may be inspired and motivated. It is a thought-provoking book. People who are interested in political history should read it, in my opinion.
