Wow; $125,000 is a very large salary to be receiving for an entry-level job. I wonder how this kind of salary affects her relationships with her teammates. The supernatural aspect is also intriguing. Thanks for the review!

The sample of this book was quite interesting. It moved at a slightly faster pace than I usually encounter or anticipate, and I felt the characters could have been developed just a bit more.

Overall, it was fascinating and anything supernatural always piques my interest. I really want to know what happened to Kathryn’s father, and what her new job entails.

It's funny when you suddenly open your eyes a bit more to supposed coincidences and realize how much they have positively impacted your life, maybe not so coincidentally after all. It sounds like this book would offer a fantastic adventure, where you don't know what you'll be doing but still feel accomplished for landing such a great job right out of university. Thank you for the review.

I love books built on suspense, especially if it starts right at the exposition stages of the plot. Thanks for the wonderful review.

I've just read the sample of this book and I believe it will be full of entertainment. If I read this book as from the review the plot has everything that we look for in a book; thriller, mystery and obviously romance, which can make me not to put the book down.

I'm excited to read the book and the way this review has itself brought so many questions in my mind, i definitely need to have an answer for that. 8)

The little teaser already started a million questions running through my head! What will Kathryn's superpower be? What superpower does her dad have? Can her aunt Jacqueline control the weather (and that's why Kathryn experienced the changing weather conditions when her aunt visited)? I like that she's started "green" so I'm looking forward to see how her character develops as she grows into her powers and learning about her dad's side of the family. I like that she already has a sense of independence/likes being on her own but intrigued to read more on how having to work with her new team will affect her. Already loving the mystery and intrigue!

Intriguing elements seem to play their roles in the shadows of this story, and the mysterious aspects of HGS kept me guessing about the consequences Kathryn will face after joining this organization.

The provided review for "Praesidium" by McKinley Aspen is excellent. It effectively captures the key elements of the book, such as Kathryn's father's disappearance, the job offer from Raphael Landy, and the dynamics within the four-member team at HGS. I love fantasy novels and this book is the right one for me. At first I thought it was about solving the way Kathryn's father called her 'Snoop' but was intrigued with the aunt's visit and the turn of events afterwards. Kathryn having talent is also an interesting thing and would love to find out how that will pan out after going to HGS. Congrats on the BOTD author

McKinley Aspen seems to be a creative writer bringing together teamwork, mystery, science, religion and romance in this book one of the Shadow in the wind fiction series. Sampling the book, I found it very engaging, hard to put down. You have written the review so well. Congratulations on the BOTD!

The sample of the novel is enough to increase the curiosity of inner me. I am excited to read the whole novel. The way Kathryn's life took a drastic change, where her aunt gone, where her father disappeared, how she managed her life, after joining HGS for a handsome salary what she is going to discover about the company. How far her relation will work with Scott? The adventure, mystery, thrill and romance hidden in this book is something a reader always looks for. And this novel could be a better place to stop over.

After reading the review, it seems that the reviewer enjoyed the entire book and the last part of the book made him anxious to read its next version or series. In this book, all types of novels, crimes, romances, and more are described properly. The editor edited the book very excellently. I like to read such type of books. That's why it might be for me. I, also, read the sample and enjoyed.

While the details of the surroundings are very well described, the interactions between people seem awkward and forced without true interaction occurring. Some of Kathryn's musings were interesting/entertaining, but her reactions to things like Raphael suddenly explaining HGS's mission and purpose also do not seem authentic. Also, the idea that someone graduating college in 1991 who has a cellphone definitely does not seem plausible. I think this book and series have a lot of potential as I like the supernatural and action/mystery, but I do not believe this series will be for me.
