Essentially_Literate wrote: ↑24 Feb 2018, 01:13 My name was supposed to be Bianca because my mom adores that name but my dad is very dyslexic and can't spell. They bickered back and fourth on what I should be called. My dad said that he'd just call me Bonk Bonk instead of Bianca. Then my brother intervened, thankfully, and now my name is Megan. Unfortunately, I still got a weird nickname of Moo with my name that my distant relatives seem to favor.![]()

I call my youngest 'boo'!

A girl named Agnes was being forced to get married against her will. Her father saw the marriage as financially advantageous and was adamant for it to happen. She kept refusing because she wanted to offer her life to God instead. So he took her to the busiest marketplace and stripped her clothing. He hoped that by ruining her modesty, he would take her chance for the life of chastity away from her. However, God looked on her kindly and made her hair grow so long in an instant that it covered her like a robe. The miracle saved her, allowed to join a convent and she became a saint.
Or at least, that's the story I know.

What a beautiful name, Keeper/ Abdullah! The Keeper Jr wrote: ↑11 Jul 2023, 11:08 Just right before I was born, my mom and dad were forced to leave their home by the people. They left home and settled in the capital city of Afg, where it was very hard for my mom. Then that year I was born. My mom says she felt terribly alone and so I was given to her so she could have someone in her darkest moments in life, then she gave me a name which has a meaning of brightness and sunshine. I was also named Abdullah by my dad once, it means the submitter to god.
