Thank you for your detailed review. This, along with the short sample I read on Kindle, has induced me to add this book to the pile.

Good review. The story has a promising plot and unfolds in a distinct period (BC). Although it is historical fiction, I wonder how much this book accurately represents historical details.

This extolling and vivid review enthralls us to read this fantasy novel. The title, The Temple of Truth and Lies, challenges readers to magnify, to discern the TRUTH, to depart from the lies. The mysterious characters' ploy evokes parallelism with history and headlines no matter how quasi-magicians intertwine events.
A very relevant entertaining read.

Congrats on BOTD!
They appear to have had an exciting journey to Pangorn Island. It will be intriguing to see if they manage to defeat the strange animals they came across as well as find the coveted prize. Unique and lovely character names.

The Temple Of Truth and Lies by James Duvall is an enthralling historical fiction filled with hidden treasures, formidable sorcery, and daring battles against fearsome creatures. I can't wait to join Deszarius and his extraordinary allies on Pangorn Island.

Sounds like the author did an amazing job of creating characters that captivate the mind. I love that you wanted to look some of them up to see if they were real. The narrative sounds easy to follow starting with first person and giving a broader view through the eyes of a third person narrative. Great review although I’m not a fan of this genre.

I will add it to my shelf. Reading time is so previous nowadays that I never have enough, but I am still drawn to collecting intriguing books. I figure I will have time someday and be glad for the backlog!

In this case, the prehistoric setting is a big draw, something not typical of the common fantasy, a graft of reality onto fiction that still satisfies the fantasy reader's lust for the exotic but also weaves a tendril from the real world into the mix. I expect a lot from this setting based on your promotion of the depth of development, especially around the society depicted. A cohesive and congruous environment is a foundation for my enjoyment of the tale.

I am also a big fan of action. Your mention that the subject is given thoughtful attention on what feels like a frequent basis was another sure hook set solidly to reel me in. In past reads, I have been carried past mediocre plots by interesting characters flailing through interesting cascades of action!

Thank you for an easy-to-read review that touches on so many details. I cannot guarantee I will agree after I have read the story, but at least now it will have a chance with me!

Today's book appears to be an adventure-packed journey full of magic and wizardry. Fans of fantasy may be drawn to the mix of elves, dwarves, sorcerers, and wizards.

The downloaded Amazon sample has various editing issues. To name a few, there are homonym spelling errors. One example is "juggler vain" at location 281. It should be spelled "jugular vein." Based on the number of flaws I saw in the sample, I would recommend another round of editing. It makes me wonder if it is just the Amazon sample.
