Reading A Voice From Heaven has to be done with a very open and receptive mind; otherwise, the core message of this book might be missed. It is a mother's journey through grief, heartbreak, and the quest to understand the afterlife.

After losing her son to drug and substance abuse, Cindy establishes communication with her son in the afterlife to gain a better understanding of what it's like and to ensure he is fine on the other side. Over a period of time, she talks to him daily, learns as much as she can, gets answers to questions she has always wondered about, and starts her healing process.

One of the best aspects of this book is that the authors' intentions come from a place of purity and healing. The fact that half of the proceeds from this book go to research on substance and drug abuse only enhances that point.

Another thing I like is how willing the authors are to be very vulnerable. It takes immense strength to tell a story as deep, personal, and touching as this. Losing a loved one in the way that the authors lost their child is terribly heartbreaking, and I admire that they are willing to shed light on the problems of drug and substance abuse as well as the struggles victims and their loved ones go through.

I also appreciate the introspective theme of the book. Cindy's communication with Alec in the afterlife shines a light on so many ignored aspects of life, especially how accessible spiritual help and guidance are to anyone willing to ask and open to receiving help from the spiritual realm. This makes one think deeply about one's purpose in life and the reason for living.

I have to honestly say there is nothing to dislike about this book. The story is touching, introspective, and holds a lot of answers about the deeper aspects of life. For this reason, I rate this book five out of five stars. It is very well edited, and I did not notice any errors while reading it.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to gain deeper meaning and knowledge about life. It is very revealing and holds deep secrets. I sincerely commend both authors for their strength and courage in the face of adversity.
