The stories that start off with a bang always have a unique catch to them. I have read books that have a plot like this one. Where when a character in the story is murdered, the person most close to them is accused of it. And the story usually ends with the accused actually being the murderer or with a villain in the story. I'm excited to know where this story takes me.. Good review BTW!

I was thoroughly fascinated reading your review. I liked how the characters, especially Slacker Mills and Rusty Hook, were introduced in the sample pages. The author's writing style was engaging and interesting. The mystery of what happened to Jerry will keep readers hooked. Congrats on the BOTD!

:eusa-think: I find the review quite specific about the mystery surrounding the murder and it sounds like an interesting read. It's not my type of mystery novel because it seems to slow often but I wouldn't mind giving it if just to learn more of the fishing experience and to find out how Slacker clears his name :eusa-think:

Jerry and Slacker Mills' friendship is one that will continue even unto death. Slacker Mills won't let go. I will love to follow on to see this mystery behind Jerry's death. Great job.

Don't be deceived by the book's title. It goes beyond what the title says. I am already curious to know how Slacker will clear his name from the charges he is been faced with.

I guess I would have preferred a story that is more exciting. But then again, the review left me hanging. This is good and should be because it arouses interest. I would like to know how the main character got away with being the suspect. This is an ordinary theme, my opinion. The main character being the suspect. But it always draw emotions from a reader and it always work. And considering that it was written in the first person. Nice! Additionally, I would love fishing. But I do not think it would make me attentive to the details of fishing reading the plot of the story. No, not at that time. The review says otherwise. Let us see!

Wow!I'm literally blown away by this review.Actually I can almost see the book through the review.I love how you arranged the events I can feel the flow of the story and my interest is aroused. You put out the characters so well and even though I'm not a very big fun of mystery I'm intrigued to read the book. You paying attention to every detail , I love that. The best part is that you can connect with the author and be in the story just by reading it.

The story talks about how Slacker Mill like his job because it gives him the freedom to do what he loves, which is fishing. His life was going smoothly until he met his friend, Jerry, and they both have good moments together before the sudden death of Jerry which lead to the mystery he have to solve. I like how the characters are well-developed and how the story is well-written. Nice review.
