This is a thought-provoking book based on a true story. It is set in Ancient Rome during the time of the gladiators and Christian persecution. Historical fiction fans will love it! I enjoyed reading the book review. It was nicely done.

I enjoy historical fiction, especially Roman history. I am also a Christian, and I can’t imagine the strength and faith required to forgive your child’s murderer. She was also able to withstand hate from society about her beliefs and willingness to help those in need. I can’t wait to read this book!

Amora is a historical fiction that tells the story of faith, belief, patience and hope. I really want to know if Amora forgives. I am looking forward to a delightful read. Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day.

I like the way the dominant theme was worked into your review. Vengeance or forgiveness is a battle for so many of us. I too would struggle if it was my child or grandkids that were hurt. It is easier to forgive if your heart is not involved. Thank you for a great review.

The book sounds very interesting given the twists of fate. The review is great. Although there are many similar situations in our daily lives in general that affect us I'm not a religious person so I wouldn't read it

Amora sound like quite an amazing woman. To deal with the snowball affect of everything going wrong after losing her daughter must be quite a challenge. Then to change your religion and become a Christian in the time where people get killed for their believes, is admirable. I cannot wait to start reading this novel. Thanks for a great review.

Grant Hallstrom seems to be a very creative and talented historical fiction writer driven by the conviction that forgiving those who wrong is utterly important in trusting God. Any parent who's child is murdered is faced with a choice between forgiveness and revenge. This fiction based on the real life events from a different era has touched on this social crisis which seems to reappear in every age. This book is in my to read list. This is a well written review. Congratulations on the BOTD again!

"Amora" by Grant J. Hallstrom sounds like a compelling historical fiction read. The review praises the book's portrayal of Christianity during that era and the struggle of choosing between vengeance and forgiveness. The themes and character growth seem intriguing. With no editing errors, it's worth considering for a read. Thanks for sharing the review!

I can't imagine how painful it is to lose a daughter. Amora must have been devastated. I hope that, through religion, she found solace. This seems like a very safe book based on a true story.
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

This is a Christian book about Amora, whose marriage turned sour as she suffered at the hands of her husband after her daughter was murdered. She was introduced to Christianity and taught the Christian life. Congratulations on BOTD!
