The battle toward full recovery is an ordeal for all parents, and I think this is even more true when the ailment has affected a very young child. The book vividly tells the painful story of a journey filled with sorrow, hope, fight, and recovery.

The book sounds interesting but challenging to read. What I am happy about the story is the way Luo's parents advocated for him until he survived.

I'm glad they mention Harry. Siblings of kids in such circumstances are often overlooked and go through their own mental health plight.
And I think advocating for one's health is an excellent lesson.
Thank you for your moving review.

This seems like it should be an emotional and heartwarming journey to read; I’m looking forward to continuing it.

It saddens me to think about what little Lou had to endure. However, I am glad to hear that the Unger family's efforts were successful. While I would have liked to obtain a copy of it, I will refrain as there are too many intricacies involved. Your review was well done. Congratulations on winning Book of the Day!

That’s a heart-wrenching review. The book seems quite emotional as the story of 3 year old boy surviving cancer is sensitive to read. Hats off to his father who owns down every detail while he is in treatment.

I love a story of triumph, resilience, and bravery. I could not help but admire the strength Lou and his parents demonstrated throughout his seven year battle. It’s hard physically, mentally, and spiritually to battle cancer, but love conquers all and this book is a pure example of that statement. Thank you for writing such a captivating review!

Good review. I am glad everything ended well for Lou and his family. I understand you did not find the technical details interesting, but other parents may find them resourceful.

Louis's healing seems like a true miracle. Mark and Mary's perseverance and hope were incredibly admirable and inspiring. This story is moving and hopeful for those who have family members with catastrophic diagnoses. Plus, it is an invitation to readers to educate and never be afraid to question and search for new treatments.

Wow, what a heartwarming story! The little boy is so amazingly strong and brave. The parents are so strong as well. It is really devastating to see your son suffering and fighting for his life with the devastating sickness at such a young age while at the same time struggling with financial issues. I applaud their perseverance. The review is well-written and comprehensive. great job

This is an amazing non-fiction book highlighting a unique medical diagnosis and how a child went from a zero-chance of survival to become the first survivor. The book is temporarily discounted on Amazon Kindle and has an inciteful OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD.
