While the plot is undeniably gripping, some readers may find themselves longing for deeper character development. The cast of characters, including the protagonist, could have benefited from more nuanced exploration and emotional depth. Additionally, certain subplots and secondary characters feel underdeveloped, leaving loose ends and missed opportunities for further exploration.

Despite these limitations, "Running with the President" remains an entertaining read for those intrigued by the world of politics. The book provides a captivating glimpse into the campaign trail, revealing the sacrifices, personal conflicts, and ethical dilemmas faced by those seeking the highest office in the land.

August Martin's portrayal of the political landscape is both realistic and thought-provoking, shedding light on the moral compromises that politicians often make to maintain their positions of power. The author's keen observations and attention to detail create an authentic backdrop for the story.

"Running with the President" is recommended for readers who enjoy political thrillers and are curious about the inner workings of political campaigns. Although it falls short in terms of character development, the gripping plot and insightful commentary make it a worthwhile addition to the genre.

Romance is not my thing but I curious to see what Doris discovered, the consequences for her, and the connections with the political element. Thank you for your great review!

Political romance is always a good story if it's well written. According to you, Kavita, whose opinion I totally trust, the author here managed to write a coherent storyline. I agree with you that including whole families in stories is very rare.
Awesome review as always, Kavita!
