This story will inspire people with long term illnesses by encouraging them to persevere and take comfort in the love their loved ones show them. It also shows the spirit to fight for life which is important so as not to lose hope as this is the beginning of succumbing to the illness. Thanks for the review.

A true to life story of a child's recovery from a rare disease. The parents must have been so strong to go through this with their child.

I loved how the parents took keen note of their kid from the word go. The dad's actions of penning down his son's progress was inspiring. This story is very uplifting. Congrats on being the BOTD!

Growing up, I suffered from a lot of illnesses, and my parents were always fighting for me. I have a ton of respect for everyone who fights against systems for the sake of their loved ones since my mother was a warrior queen when it came to all of my doctor's appointments. I'm thinking about reading this book because it sounds like I could relate to it just a little bit. I appreciate the wonderful review.

Congrats on BOTD. Being sick at such a tender age is not an easy experience, but it's a relief to know that the new protocol had saved Lou's life.

In this biography by the parent of a child with cancer, readers will experience the journey through the author's records. His son's survival will inspire other families of patients with cancer to believe and pursue the possibilities of the cure for it. Congratulations on the BOTD.

I think it need a critical situation to willingly accept a new treatmen , because once Loui's parent accept that its like put all the condition in the doctors and Gods hand. Otherwise bigest hope is for the treatment to succes and fail for the same time. Amazing

This sounds like a really great and inspiring story. I like that Mark used a journal to keep track of everything, as I think they really can help organize your thoughts. Well done on a great review!

It is heartbreaking to know that this three-year-old angel had to go through something as rough as cancer. I hope this book finds its way and comforts those parents who are in a similar situation. Congrats on the BOTD.

It can be devastating for parents to have to deal with ailing kids. I must commend Lou's parents for ther resilience and endurance through the hard times, it's not easy. I would like to read the book to find out more about Lou and how he coped as a cancer patient. Great review.

Thank you for such a detailed and insightful review. Just by reading the sample, I had doubts I'd be able to read the entire book, no matter how inspiring it is. I just don't think I could handle being reminded page after page of a small child's suffering. But your description of the technical aspects of the book, in large part the author's notes of medical jargon, medicines, doses, procedures, etc., etc., would swiftly bore me silly, of which I have no doubt. In turn, I'd feel completely justified in abandoning the book entirely. And to avoid and prevent all that, I think I'll have to pass on reading this book. So thank you for your honest review and the things you disclosed therein.

Seems like a very heavy but at the same time inspiring story of love and survival. I wonder about the parents' sentiments throughout the whole thing. It would be an interesting read, although I would definitely spread it over a course of a few months. Congratulations on BOTD!

I love to hear cancer survival stories and wonder what kind of pain and sadness a parent would go through to know their child has cancer. Congratulations on BOTD!
