Considering how the reviewer has nothing but praise for the book, the book must be a wonderful read. John's story sounds both positive and inspiring. I would love to give this one a go.
Thank you for your review!

The story begins with the Morrissey family's journey of love and hope for a better future. As we follow John, who at the tender age of twelve, began as street fighter, we are given a look into his strong character. Determined to succeed, he worked tirelessly to become a professional fighter. His story is awe-inspiring. Wonderfully written about pursuing one's dreams. Thanks for a very insightful review. :techie-studyinggray:

Ambitions is a book that entails the story of a
the humble beginning of John Morrissey and his love
struggles to Susannah in the 19th century.

A well-written and historical book thumbs up to
Frank Baillargeon.

Sometimes all we need is a little push and some hope to discover our true talent. And John was persistent after discovering his talent, and that served as a driving force behind his success.

I appreciate John's drive to chase everything he's ever wanted. Time and again, the value of hardwork shows through success that comes with it. I'm glad that he had a positive mindset about his goals, when you're coming from a humble background, on some days, that's all you can have!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your review; it was well-written and captivating. The sample pages showed the story of John's parents, Tim and Judith's struggle when they left Ireland to go to America. I was saddened reading about the plight of the Irish Catholic immigrants and their living conditions. Living with almost no money, poor basic shelter, and infectious diseases, life must have been unimaginably difficult for many. The author's writing style is engaging, and many will find the story of John Morrissey inspiring. Congratulations on the BOTD!

Frank Baillargeon seems to have done his research well and written this intriguing and interesting biographical novel on John Morrissey, the great fighter. The pages I sampled were gripping and I am curious about how a street fighter turned into a great fighter. It seems to be a great story of hope. You have written the review so well. This book shows a reader that it doesn't really matter where one was born, be it from a poor family, but one drive for success shall conquer all, and I surely admire John for that. Congrats on being the book of the day.
