This is a great book that parents need to read to better understand their children. I believe a parent equipped with the knowledge the author offers in this book, will be able to better understand and attend to their children's needs efficiently. I applaud the author for sharing such insights in helping to maximize our children's potential.

As someone who watched the children in my family fall behind after Covid, I'm intrigued by so much in this review. I have noticed that, even while seemingly acknowledging setbacks related to distance learning and school cancelations, there still seems to be a tendency to (rather quickly) point toward ADD, learning/behavior problems, and the like, rather than looking at the child and their situation as a whole. This review laid out a lot of things that I'm interested in reading about further: focus on open communication between parent and child, involvement in sports and music, etc. A wonderfully written review that has definitely pushed this book up my to-read list!

This book seems educative. Parents can come to the knowledge that not every time that their children have poor performance is due to mental conditions or disorders.
This is a very detailed review.

It's always helpful to find a book that gives tips on ways to improve children's learning abilities and their performance in general. Many books provide guidance in this area, but few actually work. I hope this book is one of them. Thanks for this great review!

My favorite quote was, "When you tell a child that they are doing something wrong, you make it clear that it's is the behaviour that you don't like, not the person." That is such a simple yet powerful lesson.

Every child requires all the support they need from their parents. The book's title has me gripped wanting to know what I have to do to "maximise" my kid's performance. There are many lessons and ideas; I look forward to reading them.

An informative read, which was full of examples and case studies regarding the best ways to deal with children conveyed in a telling but not lecturing fashion.

Well, since my youngest child is in her mid-thirties, I'm probably not the right reader for this book. Yet, the point made about fostering communication with the children to build the relationship is critical. I couldn't agree more.
