I'm not particularly a fan of King's (I've read a few of his, but nothing terribly recent), but IT is one of those books I gravitate towards every couple of years. I love how there's so much detail just casually dropped into the narrative, without bogging it down. And yes, it's because of this book that I cannot stand clowns, haha.

I heard a rumour that they are looking at doing a remake/reboot of the movie, so I'll probably be digging my copy out again once they announce casting. I loved Jon Brandis as Stuttering Bill though...

This is a classic from King! I remember getting scared out of my wits when I read this. Now that I'm older and have forgotten most parts of the book, I'll try to read it again. Let's see if I'm still a scaredy-cat!

I read this book several years ago and had to read with the lights on because it scared me so much. I would love to see a remake of this movie, as I didn't find the first one to be all that scary. The book is so much better!

I will probably never watch the movie since I am a huge wimp :) However I did read most of the book and it was creepy! I had to put the book down and walk away at times to forget about it and come back. Some of those stories are things you wouldn't thing about, but after you read it you won't forget it.

Good book :)

I loved this book when I read it about 20 years ago when I was a teenager and have always wanted to re-read it but am too worried that as an adult it won't have the same appeal and will spoil the memory of enjoying it so much! Epic epic totally gripping books - noone tells a tale the way Stephen King does!

I love Stephen King but this book just didn't do it for me! I felt like it dragged. I didn't like how he the narrative skipped repeatedly from past to present with no real conclusion. I was originally intrigued by the flashbacks but it just got tiring after a while. I did enjoy his Dark Tower plug in at the end of the story but that felt forced once I completed the Dark Tower Series. I was more terrified by what the movie presented when I was younger than what the book delivered. I really wanted to love this book because it is supposed to be classic King but this is definitely not my favorite. Unfortunately.

This book terrified me. I have never felt so scared reading a book before. There were times where I would just put it down and walk away. I needed a little break from the creepy mind of Stephen King. He is a very detailed writer an some of the things he comes up with astounds me. The only thing that I didn't like about the book is how crazy it got towards the end. He took it to a whole other level that I wasn't ready for. I still really liked the book, but I'm not sure I could read it again for quite a while. Just thinking about picking it up again makes me shaky.

I really enjoyed IT, I don't like clowns at all and find them really weird so it was interesting to read about, in fact I just saw the movie two weeks ago. My favorite King book was Firestarter.

Not read the book but when I watched the movie as a 14 year old I couldn't sleep for weeks! (In fact, I only watched about the first hour of it!) Have watched it again since and actually the film ending is so unscary that it takes away some of the frights from the terrifying clown scenes.

''It'' is, by far, my favourite book written by Stephen King. It always kept me on the edge, and I was always afraid that It would pop out of nowhere...
I also love it that I never get bored of it when I re-read it. It's like I'm reading it for the first time, each time.

I haven't read it yet, horror really isn't my thing. Lol, but I might read it. My husband will probably get mad when i decide to leave the tv on and the lots of lights wherever I go.
