Within a few pages of reading the sample I came to the same conclusion as the reviewer. 4 out of 4 for the review. Needs another round of proofreading. Lots of punctuation areas to attend to. formatting issues. Dialogue needs tightening. A very interesting story and for its satire seems a worthwhile read. Congratulations for BOTD to the author. Definitely a well-worth-it story to re edit. Enjoyed the sample of several chapters. I thought the Indian servants should have had their grief over their comrade come out sooner than just before he was buried. Milk the drama here.

Aurumia by Robert Millon presents a fascinating narrative that delves into the world of a peculiar expedition and the intricate connections between characters. The author's ability to intertwine satire, exploration, and social critique is truly commendable. Through the lens of the fictional nations Aurumia and Sklabosia, Millon skillfully highlights the flaws and nuances of our own society and political landscape. The satirical play on names and organizations adds a layer of depth to the narrative, encouraging readers to reflect on the issues raised. While the book exhibits a strong storyline and thought-provoking themes, addressing the minor editing concerns could elevate its impact. Considering the author's successful exploration of societal critique, I would rate this engaging read 4 out of 5 stars.

The plot is interesting so I’m looking forward to digging into this satire to be with Robert, Stephen and George in their journey to Aurumia and Sklabosia as they explore these mysterious nations and face the challenges brought by their curiosity.

This type of political satire is not anything that appeals to me. I"m sure there is a readership for this type of novel, but I think I'll pass.

Aurumia by Robert Millon is a captivating novel that skillfully weaves a tale of exploration, satire, and social commentary. The bizarre expedition of three men into the mysterious nations of Aurumia and Sklabosia is a journey filled with intrigue and unexpected revelations. The author's clever use of fictional countries allows for a satirical exploration of our own society and politics, shedding light on the absurdities and conflicts that mirror our world. While the book's strengths are evident in its insightful commentary and pun-filled narrative, a more thorough proofreading could enhance the overall reading experience. A thought-provoking read that merits a commendable 4 out of 5 stars.

This is interesting satirical take on our society. The organizations, a veiled parody of the issues that we face in the real world. Although a fantasy, I couldn't help but relate this story to the racial and economic issues in reality. Steve's motivation to undertake this adventure seems to be more than just to write a book about this strange lost civilization. Even though he agrees to the terms of the trip, he does not trust his benefactor, Bob, who wants be in complete control of everything. Despite the typos, I was intrigued enough to want to finish the book after reading the sample and your review. Congratulations on BOTD :techie-reference:

I was interested in the satirical nature of this book, however, I didn't get far enough before I couldn't cope with the errors and didn't connect with the first-person investor character.

This absolutely apt review introduces us to a look at ourselves and our ridiculousness by taking us on a journey to two kingdoms hidden deep in the jungle. The journey of the three main characters unveils the actual picture of our human foibles through this story through the art of satire. This is a notable endeavor.

Great review! This doesn't sound like a book that I want to read especially with all of the errors. I can't get the image of puppy's tails out of my mine. Ugh!

The text seemed to contain some punctuation errors and phrasing issues. Improving its clarity can make it more coherent to the readers. Otherwise, it was a good read, however, this type of narration did not work for me :)
