E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is an engaging tale that takes readers on an action-packed journey with newlyweds Kelly and Tom amid the beautiful backdrop of Honduras Island. The novel explores the potential threat of electromagnetic pulse attacks from space and the challenges a nation may face in handling such a crisis.

The story begins with Kelly stumbling upon a high-tech laboratory in a piggy gift shop during her tour. Her husband, Tom, unaware of her predicament, explores the coral reefs, while Kelly's life takes an unexpected turn. As she finds herself caught in a dangerous situation at the piggy store, she reaches out to her brother, Senator Mike McBride, setting off a chain of events that leads to a thrilling investigation into a terrorist plot.

This piece was indeed a captivating read for me. Mercer's narrative kept me hooked with the book's well-crafted twists and turns in each chapter. The well-developed characters, like Steve, McBride, Tom, Kelly, and a few more, added depth and humor to the book's storyline. This book delves into political highlights and showcases the coordination of spy agencies and special forces to combat terrorism, skillfully intertwining real-world events. It covered themes like terrorism, resilience, martyrdom, romance, cooperativeness, and patriotism. The plot's progression is logically consistent, and Mercer's writing style makes it a smooth and immersive read for me. I also did not see any errors in this book, which shows that it was expertly edited.

Throughout my encounter with this book, there was nothing that stood out as a flaw or something I disliked about it. Overall, EMP Honeymoon is a compelling fusion of science fiction, political intrigue, and heroism. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for its gripping plot, engaging characters, and educational aspects. I highly recommend it to readers interested in fast-paced thrillers and books about terrorism. It will also be a great read for those seeking an exciting and informative read.

Well, this couple Kelly and Tom are in for an intriguing ride through their honeymoon, which sounds unique. I mean who spends their honeymoon chasing after the bad guys? Nice review.

Will I say Kelly and Tom's honeymoon was a miracle.
Who will be able to discover the traitor's hideout if not for their honeymoon. This book is one fascinating piece that should not be left unread

The one thing about this book that I really coend the author for was the way this book started. The suspense and humor started from the first sentence in this book.

This was one of the first books I read in Online Book Club. The story cleverly explains intricate scientific concepts for all readers through an Advanced Nuclear Physicist's insights, bridging the gap between technical details and comprehension. While the portrayal of antagonists is somewhat predictable, the narrative still delivers excitement. Despite a shallow exploration of character motivations and emotional landscapes, the book remains a captivating addition to the McBride series, blending familiarity with fresh challenges.
