Well, now you really got me wondering, what is this all about? The murder cases waiting for closure you introduced sound interesting, but they seem separate; is there some connection between these cases? I usually like murder mysteries, so I might give this book a try. Thank you for the lovely review!

This novel seems thought-provoking. I like the fact that the nivel seems well-researched because of the complicated legal notions that are involved. Congrats on BOTD!

I just got a free copy. Thanks to the author. I am yet to dig in, but from the review, I can smell some mysteries and the connection of characters from different walks of life to a common course. I can't wait to know more.

Private investigator Fiona Drake and her boss, Tom Meyers. are entangled in two cold cases that will test them at every turn. To solve one, they must prove the local sheriff, who built his career on catching a serial killer, arrested the wrong man. The second case is more personal as it involves a plea from Tom's dying mother to find her missing daughter, kidnapped thirty-five years ago. I really like the Grammer let the book be today's best

Your admiration for the author's meticulous research into the legal system and her ability to engage the reader without making them feel left out of the series is a testament to her skillful storytelling. Your review captures the characters' depth and the engaging plot so well! I'm intrigued to dive into the book now.

The book sounds really intriguing. Cold cases are always so unpredicatable, complicated and with lots of secrets. It will be interesting to read the book and reveal them all along with Fiona and Tom. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

A very informative review. The main characters are given mention and the positives and negatives, though it seems there was only one , which was minor, are well outlined. I love that the book can be read as a stand alone and the reader can still follow the plot and get a feel for the characters.

This book is great and definitely deserves the perfect rating you gave. What happens when you put an unsolved murder case in front a curious PI? Add to that another mystery where a child dissappeared from home over thirty years ago? She will run with both of them and it is exactly what Fiona Drake does! However, this time she is accompanied by Tom Meyer. A good friend, a great lawyer, but not a man suited to be chasing cold leads in a beat up VW bus. Guys, read more of this book to find out what goes into this duo solving two very cold cases.

This is a highly recommended book with a strong premise and a diverse set of characters. It contains subplots and minor characters as well and surrounds the theme of murder. It is admirable the amount of research that went into this fictional story. Congrats on the BOTD!

I really loved this review. I only read a sample of the book and felt a connection to Fiona and Tom right away, and after reading your review I already know I'll fall in love with them too! The premise of this book is so intriguing and the beginning is so good I almost felt like I was watching an episode of CSI rather than reading a book. Can't wait to finish it!

I have already read this book and the overall impression it left me with is mostly pleasant, even though I didn't give it the highest score. Don't get me wrong, the book is well written and the story was interesting to follow, but to me it was a bit too ordinary and therefore somewhat predictable. Still, my sincere congratulations on BOTD!
