"Sylvia's Mother" by Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show ... anytime I hear it, it stops me in my tracks & I "gaze vacantly into the great blue yonder" with a stupid grin on my face. Needless to say there was a guy involved.

That is a good one. Also Sidney Bechet's version.

Stardust - Hoagy Carmichael's recitation version. They say he wrote Stardust when his girlfriend dumped him.

I do too. It screws up my computer. Freezes, wont connect, sometimes my anti-virus pops up alerts not to use it.

One song that didnt break my heart, but takes me back to my childhood was Macnamara's Band by Bing Crosby. I first heard it in one of those follow the bouncing ball cartoons, and liked it so well I went right out and bought the record on a Decca 78 RPM. Had it for years until it finally wore out. I found it online a while back and it was like I heard it yesterday. Still a great song.
