I enjoyed the review. I just started the book and have reached chapter 3, and your review is spot on so far. Thank you for only giving away minor details like the cash he comes into.

A very engrossing tale of mystery and intrigue. Commander Phillips, on a trip to see his daughter has some strange encounters on the way to the cruise ship. It soon becomes clear that there a lot more going on than he thought, a dead man on the plane, a mysterious Latin woman, and a great deal of money combine to make this an exciting story. After reading the sample, I can't wait to add this to my reading list! Excellent review! :tiphat:

"Cruise Ship Heist" by Stuart St Paul. An interesting book, talks more about Commander Kieron Philips, a retired military man becoming millions of dollar richer despite the strange occurrence that looks suspicious. Kieron is great character and has his good and bad views. Congrats on your #BOTD.

Although the reviewer didn't reveal much of the story, but from his description towards the end of "danger, murder and unpredictability" was enough to spark an interest as a mystery, thriller book. So I might just give it a try :?:

This book sounds very entertaining! From this review I gather that it is full of "mystery and intrigue" as those words were repeated numerous times. It has truly piqued my interest to see what happens to this Kieron Philips character. Great job on this review!

Thanks for the review.
I love how you explain the character and story. Kieron as a protagonist really suited for the crime thriller genre. The hints and twists in every corner of the story are my cup of tea.
Really looking forward to reading it. :tiphat:

The role of Kieron Phillips in this intriguing story seems fabulous, and the mysterious circumstances he finds himself on the ship and how he manages to know the reason behind his invitation to the cruise sound engaging.

Is there ever a moment of relaxation for military personnel in fiction? Nevertheless, it is always exciting to read how they go about solving the mystery. Nice review. But I am a little confused if the book was dragging or not because you have mentioned both in the review.
