This book starts off strong with dialect and descriptions. I like how the main character shows a calm confidence in his skills but can also show his emotional side when it comes to his mother. It seems like this is going to be a read that I can really get sucked into fast.

Thank you for the thorough analysis. It's always pleasant to hear about stories of love between two souls that endures across time and several lifetimes. It's interesting that the author also addresses several issues related to the human condition.

Will Marcas and Maureen, who now go by Mark and Molly, make sense of their lives? Will they succeed in reigniting the lost love? This is a compelling book with significant emotional substance and character development. Fantastic review. My congratulations to the author on winning BOTD.

"The Fifie" by Marco Collina details the story of reincarnation. I will read to know if fate was able to bring Mark and Marla together again as lovers in their next life.

:snooty: After reading the review I became disinterested in the book. It is not my preference nor did it spark an interest

This sounds like a really great book with an excellent storyline. Maureen and Marcas seem like soulmates, especially considering that in their next life as Mark and Marla, they still feel strong attraction towards each other. I hope they finally get together against all odds and find the happiness they deserve.
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

Thank you for this positive review. 4 out of 4. The plot discussed in the review came as a surprise. The sample doesn't even hint at half of what happens. I liked the detail and authentic sailing terminology. I liked the characters. The story seemed to move slowly but that is ok. Great choice for BOTD.

Mark and Marla's love flame does not die even in their new life. I love the plot, especially the supernatural take. Congrats to today's BOTD!

This is a story of everlasting love that spans through time and moments in both of these characters' lives. I'm a sucker for romance novels, especially those that showcase the development of a character. I cannot wait to indulge myself in this one-of-a-kind love story.

I totally agree with the reviewer that many today are in marriages with people they don't love and this leaves them regretting the rest of their lives. The story of Maureen and Marcus or Mark and Marla seems to be an interesting fictional story infused with themes of love, regrets, and mystery. I would love to read the book to find out more about Mark and Marla.

A mystical story of love and romance set in the 1800s'. Marcas, a young sailor, meets Maureen, a beautiful, kind young woman willing to help anyone in need. While having a meal at the pub that Maureen runs, a couple arrive. They are a poor couple, who lost their only son at sea, but they continue to search for him, as there doesn't seem to be record of his death. The man's wife is very ill and soon passes away. The sample ends with the group planning a trip to bury his wife. After reading your review, I'm very interested in finding out what happens next. A great review! :) :)

I can see there was true love between Mark and Marla, and they were destined to be together. Unfortunately,  supernatural circumstances changed their destiny. Fifie covers exciting themes, and as a fan of romantic tales, I have to make the book my next read. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!

"The Fifie" by Marco Collina. An interesting fiction book, talks about Maureen and Marcas, falling in love and been together but that wasn't in another life. They came as Mark and Marla. They but had wrong marriages, they still meet themselves and knew they were met for each other as Mark couldn't stop thinking about Marla. Most people are trapped in the wrong marriage and later regret. Congrats on your #BOTD.
