But my all time favorite would have to be Khaled Hosseini. The books A Thousand Splendid Suns and The Kite Runner were simply amazing. Must Reads!

But recently, as I have decided to start SciFi, and picked Asimov as my No.1 and am still going through a marathon of Foundation and Empire series, he inevitably became my favourite author.

What makes Foundation special is that it is the first novel I read that did not rely on its characters to be good. It is so unbelievable to see an author build an entire history. I am currently at 300 FE and still continue to be surprised. Seeing the plot (r)evolve in such a big timespan is definately amazing.
I am intending to start Catch-22 soon, so you might hear me saying 'I love Joesph Heller!' some time soon. But right now, it's Asimov time!

She is awesome. I appreciate how much research goes into her alphabet series about Kinsey Milhone. She diligently works with numerous authorities to make the subject matter as real as possible. I also appreciate her attention to detail and character development. These are only a few things I can express in words that I love about her books and writing. She is truly an author I wish to some day emulate.
