We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is part of a series written by Matthew Tysz. It is a suspense-filled story about a guy named Galen who had to leave his war-torn homeland to go to a place called Voulhire. In Voulhire, he went to a small town called Magnum Caelum, where his late uncle used to live. Galen inherited a house and a blacksmith shop from his uncle. His escape to Voulhire turned out to be different from what Galen expected, as the land had hidden mysteries and problems lurking within it.

This book starts well, with lots of suspense that keeps you hooked. The story is great, even though it leaves you wanting more from the series. It is an enjoyable read. What I loved the most about it was when Rowan mentioned owing his kindness to Galen because of the kindness Galen's uncle showed him. It shows how being kind can benefit not just you but also those around you. The map and a glossary in this book will help you understand the places and terms used in it. Most of the names in this book were similar, and sometimes I mistook some of them, but the glossary helped me differentiate between them.

This book started at a fast and exciting pace, but then it slowed down towards the middle. I understand that the author intended to grab the attention of the readers, but I was left disappointed when the pace dropped. The inclusion of the glossary at the end of the book was a good idea, but I found it tiring because I had to constantly flip back and forth to go through it.

The dislikes stated above are not enough to remove a star from the rating of this book, so I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. The storyline was beautiful and entertaining. The suspense also kept me wondering what would happen next. The best part was that this book was free of errors and perfectly edited. I recommend this book to lovers of fantasy novels. This book possesses all the qualities required to blow their minds.
