I was intrigued by Brock who starts as an idealist and moves on to become a revolutionary in this futuristic novel. Many will enjoy this book, especially if they're interested in a context where humans are facing extinction.

The cover page looks attractive and appealing; it grabbed my attention, and from it, I expect a lot of action from the book. Transhumanism is a topic I would like to explore in the book, with more on Brock's experience on the dwarf planet. I will pick Hard Kill for a read. Congrats to the author on BOTD!

The book sounds amazing as it's in line with my revolution since I'm a lover of action novels.

Weirdly, I liked sci-fi on the big screen, but I am not so much interested in the printed genre. Still, Mr. Eckle has a fine writing style and the book kicks off to an explosive start. This book might not be for me, but I believe hardcore sci-fi readers will get hooked within the first few pages.

I’m not very into adventure stories, but the transhumanist sci-fi elements of this one seem very intriguing!

Congrats on BOTD!
Action and suspense abound in this science fiction book as well. It's fascinating to observe how Brock's persona has changed and what events have led to those changes. The way the new world is shown appears to have been carefully considered. For fans of science fiction, it appears to be a viable choice.

Transhumanism is interesting and controversial, to say the least. I like how Brock radically changed his mind. As they say, a wise man changes his mind, a fool never will.
Great review.

This book sounds interesting with characters known as Transhumanists. I hope Lieutenant Broke gains the use of his mind as he tries to understand who to trust and who not to. Thanks for the review.

Good review. You did not say why the two clans were called uploaders and purists. What do those two names allude to? You also did not explicitly state what you did not like about the book. Otherwise, I enjoyed reading your review.

I'm not a sci-fi fan, so having a hard time reading the book's first part confirmed that. I had a hard time following what happened on the ship because it seemed to skip from something terrible happening when a container was opened, to Brock Henry being in some restorative environment. The idea of transhumans in the future or another world is intriguing, and the Uploaders, as I understand it, are purely machines. The review explains all of this and more and is very descriptive and well-written. Congratulations on BOTD!

I am not usually into sci-fi novels, but this book has a compelling story. I am always intrigued to learn that there is always someone having the same experiences and living the same life as you. The suspense and the unpredictable twists and turns will surely excite me to finish reading this book. Thank you for writing a fascinating review!

"Hard Kill" by Bill Eckel is a science fiction novel set in the distant future where transhumanists establish a colony on the dwarf planet Eris. The new world is divided into two factions, Uploaders and Purists. The book is interesting, well written and professionally edited.
