Right from the start, "Hard Kill" seizes your focus and refuses to release it. The story unfolds at a breakneck pace, and the author's writing technique ensures your complete immersion in the narrative. Hours seem to slip away effortlessly as you immerse yourself in this action-packed and thrilling escapade. Eckel adeptly merges the gripping backdrop of a futuristic society with the grounded viewpoint of a man battling to safeguard his loved ones amidst a turbulent world of rival factions.

I am fascinated by the reason why a group of humans were exiled from Earth. I am intrigued by how these exiled transhumanists plans to survive on a dwarf planet called "Eris". I am interested in learning which of the two sides of the royal council (Uploaders and Purists) would win.

After feeling a bit overwhelmed and confused at the start of the book, but then finding out the main character Brock would live after what happened to him, I started to enjoy the sample more. Definitely a book I want to read. Love Sci Fi. Great review that explains everything without spoiling it for readers, and left me wanting more. 4 out of 4 for the review. Great BOTD.

Excellent review! Your review was very descriptive and detailed, and it seems that you enjoyed the book. I, however, am not a fan of sci-fi so, I will pass on this one.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting science fiction novel set on a distant planet following a young man caught in between two ruling factions in their royal games. Will he be able to survive and change things for the better? It might be worth a second look. Well done.

the writing isn't bad but sci-fi is not my cup of tea. the idea of transhumanism is already happening today. some even think we will become immortal soon. the idea of a jack in the back of the neck has already been explored in movies like "the matrix". it makes anatomical sense as that's where long term memory is actually located.

'Official Review: Hard Kill' by Bill Eckel serves as a useful insight into reading the science fiction book for new readers. It enables them to comprehend the story. The point that the book is based on transhumanists who set up a colony on a dwarf planet called Eris after being exiled from Earth is worth mentioning in the review. The plot of the story revolving around a new and unseen world was entertaining. Also, as mentioned in the review, the point that the protagonist's evolution from an idealist who followed the law by the book to an all-out revolutionary was a riveting reading experience is remarkable. It was great to learn that the author added the right amount of suspense till the end of the book!

i gather that the protagonist is caught between 2 factions , which is a typical trope of science fiction. i only read the sample and won't review the entire book.i'm more interested in reading the book about hinduism which i can't now see. maybe later.

The BOTD is a science-fiction story with a thrilling story line full of descriptive writing. I like books that feature characters I can connect to while allowing me to envision the world around them. Great review.

This intriguing sci-fi novel is a action-packed thriller that's fast-paced, unpredictable, and keeps you guessing throughout all the twist & turns. The author creates an imaginary world for our main character whose a transhumanist, part human. Our main character, Lieutenant Brock Henry, is exiled from Earth & sent to live on a dwarf planet called Eris. Brock is a simple man & an idealist, but you'll see his evolution to be a revolutionarist who leads a rebellion. Humans facing extinction, Brock must set a new colony on Eris.
My interest is definitely piqued and quite intrigued. I'm not the biggest fan of sci-fi novels, but definitely interested & want to read the book! Congrats on the author for being the BOTD today!

This is a great sci fi novel that depicts a well thought out world filled with new terms and terminology that I have never heard of, for example "transhumanists". I'm curious to read about this dystopian society and how not everything is at it first seems. Congrats on the BOTD!

Hard Kill is a sci-fi novel that has amazing characters and a super plot. Dmitri is fighting against an opposition of equal strength, but not equal support. Is Brook able to save himself and others? Thanks for your review.
