When we are in love with someone, we seem to ignore every other factor that, on average, should be considered. Age seems to be a controversial topic in romance. Everyone has something to say about age and romance. Lately, I have been reading a fascinating book by Wilbert A. Brown Jr. titled Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number, where age seems to be a barrier to a newly born love.

Queensbridge isn’t an easy place to live due to the lifestyles of those who live there. But then this particular character, Brian, who is in his thirties, seems to be an interesting one. He seems so different, is a big fan of old music, and is always business-minded. The story became more interesting when Nia, who will soon turn eighteen and share the same building with Brian, was introduced. They were friends, and things seem to be going normally as they both visit each other for movies and company. But then the bond was getting stronger as Nia also helped with ideas for Brain Studio. Finally, it got to the point where I had long anticipated, as they began dating each other secretly. Not until Brian summoned the courage to tell Nia’s parents how he feels for their daughter, who would soon turn eighteen. It seems like a bomb was released. How would Nia’s parents react? Is this the end of the relationship? What is the next action?

It has been a while since I last read a romance thriller, and I am glad I was back with this thriller. I was so engaged in this plot from the start to the finish. The suspense is the craziest element of this book, and I was so eager to see the next line of action. I won’t fail to give credit to the author for such a beautiful plot setting, character management, and development, word building, and twist in this book. Together, they made this book outstanding. The title of this book is enough to convince readers to buy it because it is controversial. Brian and Nia were my favorite characters due to how exceptionally they played their roles. It was so easy to picture what they both looked like. I loved the fact that the book was well edited.

I came across a few errors while reading, though it wasn’t a barrier to my reading. I also didn’t enjoy some aspects of this book, especially the street aspect. The method of conversation used wasn’t so appealing to me.

Following the dislikes that have been mentioned above, I will give this book four out of five stars. I would also recommend this book to lovers of romance and gangster books.

I decided to read this review after being captivated by the book's title. The age barrier adds an element of tension and intrigue to the story. Brian and Nia's budding romance despite the age difference and the potential challenges you have stated convinces me to add this book into my to-read shelf.

Age is an interesting factor while considering to date, so I can already feel the surprise when Nia's parents came to know of the relationship. I love your review; I enjoyed the plot.

Age is really a big factor when it comes to dating and now it makes me wonder how Nia's parents reacted to the news of their daughter dating someone who's 12 years her senior. I'm intrigued to read more and see how everything played out. Thanks for the amazing review.

For some age might not be a big deal but for me age is a big deal in a relationship. I look forward to reading about Nia’s parents reaction to the relationship.

The title of the book caught my attention since romance books are one of my favorite genres, but in the end I was convinced to add this to my bookshelf as soon as you mentioned the suspense aspect, I prefer when a romance story has an additional theme that sets it apart from the rest.

Funny how I can relate to this story. But to be sincere, age is just a number
I really can't wait to drop my full review and I really want to know Nia's parents reaction.
Thanks for the review

When it comes to relationship and dating, age is just a number furthermore Brian is the man here and he is older than Nia, that makes a lot of sense to me. looking forward to read the book and see the reaction of Nia's parents.
