Fatima gives insights on how the Quran can also be helpful in our lives. She gives reasons behind her choosing the Quran and makes the book not preachy; I like it. This is amazing self-help material that will guide one to be conscious of their surroundings. Congratulations BOTD!

We are unwittingly born into this world with little more than our own innate human abilities and left to interpret the meaning of this miraculous experience.

The Universal Call is inspirational and eye opening. After reading this book, I experienced an awaking of my mind and inner-being to new a consciousness. The author provides many enlightening real-life examples, as well as methods for one to adopt to reach this new consciousness about the world around us. As a result of this book, I have been inspired to dig deeper about my purpose in this life, and to reach for the most out of the same. I feel that I am now open to many things in life that previously I was blind to as a result of man-made culture and close-minded thinking. I recommend everyone to read this book with an open mind. While at first you may be reserved and skeptical, in the end the author will eventually win you over with her persuasive and impactful logic, reasoning, and writing style. My door to understanding what unseen beauty life has to offer has been opened, and Fatima El-Hindi is my “door opener”!

Good review. I wonder to what extent the author used the Quran for references. Did these references include direct quotes from the Quran or paraphrasing?

This book offers an Islamic perspective on the source of mankind and provides practical advice on how to appreciate life. The advice is relevant for both religious and non-religious individuals.

El-Hindu's religious philosophy book shares her views on how the Qur'an is life's preeminent guidebook, and it can lead us to the best version of ourselves and our purpose here on Earth. I appreciate the book reviewer's descriptive summary of the book.

Congratulations to the BOTD author. I am very selective when it comes to books that quote specific religious teachings. However, if the teachings agree with the principles of all religions, I see no problem. nice review

Being appreciative at a time when everything seems to be falling apart is a skill worth gaining. I found it interesting how the author combined her knowledge of the Quran, her scientific understanding and her life experiences.
The author has found a way of educating the reader into tapping into higher powers and ideals that go beyond our physical existence. Great non-preachy teaching worth giving a read.

Thank you for your insightful review.

The fact this book is not preachy and can be read by anyone of any religious belief is excellent. I tend to be leery of books that are pushy, but this may be one I will want to use to learn more about Islam. Thanks for the review!

The author's opening words reminded me of myself, at an early age, reading books well beyond my grade level as the young persons' books just didn't cut it for me. This book seems to be an easy-to-read treatise and I may check it out. But first I think it's time I read the Q'uran as I've been planning to for quite some time, and establish a baseline for exploration. Congrats to Ms. El-Hindi on her achievement.
