Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead by E. Alan Fleischauer, a certified financial planner, gives insightful ways of planning for retirement. The author has written in-depth and covered various topics such as career aptitude, social security, life insurance, various taxes, investment choices, retirement planning, and many more ways to prepare for retirement years. He states that reconfiguration is possible at any age, especially given the wisdom that comes with age, and that reconfiguration financial planning is a turning point that will make our lives more rewarding.

The best thing about this book is that it's completely jargon-free from the language of economics. It's written in simple and easy-to-understand language that suggests that all individuals should prepare for their retirement as early as they can, stressing the theory of reconfiguration, which is planning ahead. The book is full of humour and jokes to keep the readers engaged, and the writing style is like a conversation between the author and his readers, which I found brilliant. However, the only downside is that some of the recommendations in the book are restricted to the United States, as some investment options may not apply to other countries, such as 401(k), IRA, Social Security, etc.

It was fascinating to read about the brief history of the origin of retirement age and life insurance policies and how they came into effect, it was a real eye-opener. I especially loved the story of a poor farmer and his runaway horse, showing that no matter how terrible the situation appears on the surface, there is always a silver lining ahead.

I wholeheartedly give this book 5 out of 5 stars, as the author's writing style is engaging and entertaining, making a boring subject interesting to read. The book is well-researched and provides accurate information on all the financial options available out there. The book is professionally and exceptionally well edited, as I found no grammatical errors in it.

I recommend this book to every individual, young and old, who has a stable income, to start saving and investing for their future retirement and enjoy life to the fullest.
