The Journey of an American Woman by Ashley Becker-Whipple promises an insightful exploration of life's uncertainties. I'm eager to discover how Xandria's circumstances shaped her life path.

I feel like the author was able to get her story across clearly and as honestly as she was able to.
I admire the courage and persistence it must have taken to be able to tell her life's story given the hardships she faced and I commend her for her bravery.
However, I personally would have appreciated the book better if she had given trigger warnings for some of the darker things she went into details about (ex. Her detailed sexual assault.)
Still, if that kind of thing doesn't bother you then I believe this is a good read for anyone who enjoys biographies and inspiring stories.
I do feel like the author needs to be more detailed about what's fictional what's biography since one of the hashtags on this book is biography fiction.

Our own childhood experiences shapes us into the adults we are. It's crazy how an experience can change the directory of our path. A path that is lined with situations out of our control. I wonder how the author would have turned out in another environment.

Thank you for your great review. I also like her easygoing style of writing. Parents are so important to their children. It's the best and probably the hardest job there is. A lot of times we think kids are just being over dramatic when they are really being honest. Parents are human too and we can make mistakes, but hopefully, we do our best. I'm hoping that perhaps she can be a great parent to the little girl inside of her.

Being a child means feeling lonely and alone, mostly when not with your parents. But as you grow, your journey of self-love and awareness grows with you, and by the time you realise it, you have grown so much from the inside. Reading a recount of someone else journey will be an exciting thing, and I would love to know more. Congratulations on making a book of the day.

In this world which is unfair and injustice prevails everywhere, I hope all parents can learn athing or two from this experience. Cause if they don't, then our tomorrow will differ not from our yesterday. Our children will reflect us. Because parents are the first mentors

An exquisitely written review that invites you to read the book. As a mother, everything related to respectful parenting has a great interest to me. In this book I will be able to find a guide to provide adequate support for the growth of my daughters. Childhood marks what our adulthood will be like, so it must be cared always.

According to what I read I can say not only does this book teach us lessons about life, but it also shows us how our childhood can either make us successful or miserable. It also teaches us to be more mindful of the consequences of letting things, events or our childhood control us. It teaches us how big the responsibility of a parent is and how huge the consequences will be if we don't take full control of it. Based on I've just read from this review, I think this book may be an interesting challenge for this new generation parents to read.
