I am not much for poetry but I am interested in the merging of book and visual art. Must be truly an unique book if it managed to be book of the month.

Great review! Thanks for explaining about the calligrams and redactive poetry! I saw that works by other authors were listed in the book's table of contents, so thank you for confirming that for me! I like poetry that is short and simple, so this sounds like poetry I might enjoy.

Artwords by Beatriz M. Robles stands out for its creative use of calligram, incorporation of other texts, fusion of everyday objects with stories, and the author's playful metaphors. These unique elements combine to create a poetry book that surprises, entertains, and invites readers to explore the intersections between visual art and literature while reflecting on various aspects of life. Congratulations on the BOTD.

The review is very intriguing, Gabrielle! And most of all, I liked that you are honest in your recommendations as you mention both the author's amazing creativity and that the main subject of the book is the intimate life of couples and you do not recommend it to readers who are not interested in sensual reads. The sample of this book only features the table of contents so I was unable to form my own view on this book but your review swayed my balance - I love creativity but due to the prevalence of sensual topics I'll give this book a miss.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting poetry collection made up of calligrams or words that are placed in particular way to form an image. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Beatriz M. Robles' "Artwords" is a perceptive and provocative examination of the connection between language and art. In his exploration of the role language plays in influencing how we see and comprehend art, Robles shows how language can both expand and constrict our ability to perceive creative creations. She pushes the boundaries of art criticism and asks readers to reevaluate the function of language in the artistic community with her painstaking study.

Thank you for the review. "Artwords" by Beatriz M. Robles seems to offer a unique and creative approach to combining words and visuals, creating a fascinating blend of poetry and art. The mix of ordinary objects with words to convey intimate and sensual narratives is intriguing, and the book's simplicity and creativity stand out. It sounds like an engaging read for those interested in this type of artistic and poetic expression.

The author's creativity and her intelligent use of words l do not know if it is a new thing in the system but if not then, this story will go on well with reading making long sentences short and fun also to avoid boredomness in reading. Great review.

This sounds interesting, I had never heard of this method of poetry before. I wish that I could see some content (other than the Table of contents) in the Amazon sample to determine if I want to buy the book.

Unfortunately, the sample provided wasn't sufficient to allow anyone to appreciate the author's wordplay in "Artwords." It was only through the official review on the online book club that I discovered this book's uniqueness.
I believe in something greater than myself.
