Review of If Shapes Could Talk
If Shapes Could Talk by Rella B. is an entertaining and informative book that youngsters may enjoy as they learn about different types of shapes. After seeing Maxine's cute polka dots and all of the nice things she possesses, including her house, her pets, and her pool, a little rhombus with a lovely, shapely family developed feelings of jealousy towards her for having such nice things.
A child will have an easy time interacting with the book because each shape is represented by a unique colour, and the shape itself is included in the name of the shape most of the time. The illustrations are vibrant and feature a great deal of attention to detail. They also do an excellent job of displaying what the text is saying. Because the writing is concise and easy to understand, it is an excellent resource for children who are just beginning to study shapes. The content is not only simple and straightforward, but it also rhymes throughout.
This book is just perfect in every way. The pictures are vibrant and go hand in hand with the text really well. I have a great appreciation for books that rhyme now because, when my kid was younger, he had a tendency to pay closer attention to what was being read when it was written in rhyme. This book was not only instructive but also contained a valuable life lesson for the child to take away from it. The book's message was important to me, and I think it should be taught to all children.
This book earns a perfect score of 5 out of 5 stars from me because I couldn't find a single thing to criticise about it. The combination of the images and the rhymed text is sure to pique the interest of the younger reader. I liked the lesson that was presented in this book, and I thought that the fact that it was also instructive was a bonus. Because I did not find any mistakes in the book, I feel that it has been edited to perfection.
I would highly recommend this to any child between the ages of three and seven who is interested in a shape book that tells a tale in addition to focusing on the forms themselves. Additionally, by reading this book, youngsters will learn to value what they already possess.
