"Lost Secret of the Ancient Ones" by Chris Reynolds is the first book in a series about Maya Harrington searching for her missing father. Missing Dr. Alex Harrington sends clues to his daughter to help her locate him. Throughout the book, science, religion, and history intertwine.

This gives me Indiana Jones vibes! Its a shame about the errors but should be a good read.

This is a very informative review. I sampled this book but I was yet to get a good feel of what this book was about. This review puts it in perspective - it is a Dan Brown-like mystery, well-researched, with a blend of science, history and religion, and even out-of-body experiences. Having read this review, I feel like reading this book.

I liked that it is a fast-paced novel. I want to read it to unravel the mystery and I'm also curious about mind travel. I hope Maya finds her father at the end of this book and not in the forthcoming parts. Good review.

I typically enjoy stories like this, but the alternate dimension aspect turns me off a bit. Still, I may check it out. Congrats to the author on this achievement.

To be honest, I've always wondered why someone who is wanting to be found would leave clues about where he is rather than just blatantly saying where he is. If the searchers can figure out the clues can't any enemy, also? Congratulations on BOTD!

In this intriguing novel, Maya and her friends embark on a global adventure to locate the mythical Garden of Eden while simultaneously searching for Maya's missing father. Throughout their journey, the protagonist and her companions delve into various ancient secrets, unravelling the mysteries and potentially uncovering her father's discoveries. Set in both the real world and parallel dimensions, this book explores the fascinating concept of mind travel. Congratulations on the BOTD.

Your comment about the book reminding you of the Dan Brown books caught my attention. I've enjoyed the books I've read from the series and today's book appears to be something I would enjoy as well. I'm also curious to learn how the concept of 'mind travel' fits itself into the plot.

I sampled a few initial pages of the book, and I liked the introductory pacing. Adding that to the mysteries and adventures mentioned in the review, I think the book is worth trying. Nice review, too.
