Tommy situation seems to stem from the trauma of his abuse. I figure from the little I read, that he saw being a millionaire as a way out. Unfortunately his choice of a get rich quick scheme came with it's own hazards.
I can't wait to read Tommy's story and find out his fate and that of the characters intertwined with his.

The story revolves around a diverse cast of characters, each with their own unique dreams, aspirations, and insecurities. From the ambitious and driven protagonist, Jake, to the enigmatic and free-spirited Mia, Rush masterfully crafts a web of intricate relationships that will keep readers hooked from start to finish.
One of the novel's strengths lies in its realistic portrayal of the struggles faced by young adults in the modern world. Rush delves into themes such as love, identity, and ambition, exploring the pressure to conform to societal expectations while also striving for personal fulfillment. By skillfully intertwining these themes with the characters' personal journeys, the author creates a narrative that feels both relatable and thought-provoking.
Rush's writing style is engaging and immersive, allowing readers to easily connect with the characters and become emotionally invested in their stories. The author's attention to detail and vivid descriptions bring the college town to life, making it feel like a character in its own right. Additionally, the dialogue is authentic and natural, further enhancing the believability of the characters and their interactions.
While the novel excels in its character development and exploration of relevant themes, there are moments where the pacing feels slightly uneven. Some sections of the story may feel slower compared to others, causing the narrative to lose momentum momentarily. However, Rush's ability to create compelling characters and maintain a sense of intrigue helps to overcome these minor pacing issues.
"Young Americans" is a novel that will resonate with readers of all ages, particularly those who appreciate stories centered around self-discovery and personal growth. Through its relatable characters and thought-provoking themes, the book encourages readers to reflect on their own aspirations, dreams, and the obstacles they face in pursuing them.
In conclusion, Peter S. Rush's "Young Americans" is a compelling and introspective novel that offers a fresh perspective on the challenges faced by today's youth. With its relatable characters, engaging writing style, and exploration of relevant themes, this book is a must-read for anyone seeking a heartfelt and thought-provoking coming-of-age story.
