In 'Young Americans' by Peter S. Rush, we follow the troubled life of Tommy, a young man who embarks on a journey from selling weed to the dangerous world of cocaine dealing. The book excels in character development, portraying Tommy's growth and honesty in his dealings. It offers a gritty, realistic look at the life of a drug dealer, with themes of violence, prison, and the struggle to maintain a lavish lifestyle. While the excessive profanity is expected, it may not suit all readers, and the book is only suitable for mature audiences due to explicit sexual content and mentions of sexual violence. Despite these aspects, the book is exceptionally edited and smoothly written.

Thank you for a very informative and detailed review. This drug dealing life seems to be taking over communities daily. The book and character development sound very appealing. Tommy being an honest drug-dealer makes his character sound like such a contradiction. This is a realistic approach for me in that things are not always black and white, especially people. I am not a fan of profanity. Thanks for noting it.

Young Americans" by Peter S. Rush is a gripping tale that follows the troubled life of Tommy, a young man who, despite a challenging upbringing marked by abuse, aspires to escape his circumstances. Tommy's journey takes a different path as he chooses to leave university and enter the world of hustling, beginning with selling drugs and later venturing into the cocaine business. Congrats on BOTD.

Original review! I liked the fact that you didn't follow the template when writing this review, although you mentioned all the important points. However, the novel about drugs is not my cup of tea.

Your portrayal of Tommy's character development was one of the highlights for me. Despite not agreeing with the life he chose, I appreciated his honesty and integrity in his dealings. The supporting characters also played their roles exceptionally well and added depth to the story.

The book provides insight into the world of drug trafficking. The use of anti-heroes appears to be an approach to draw attention to delicate societal concerns.

While drug users may not immediately recognize it, hard drugs have detrimental effects not only on themselves but also on those around them.

Tommy seems like he's living life on the fast lane. Will he crash and burn? I love Peter S Rush's works, especially Wild World, so I'll give this book a go.

Many of today's youth only see fortune and not the dangerous aspects of dealing drugs. Thank you for your review.
