I found it challenging to get through the first pages of the preface as it was hard to maintain focus. Consequently, this book isn't quite my preferred genre, and I'll graciously pass on it.
I believe in something greater than myself.

Joule, your review is very informative. I sampled this book, and I agree that the content is very well organised and I, too, liked the communication exercises to put the words into action. I particularly liked in your review that you braved the all-star rating even though the book was not professionally edited - I agree that sometimes editing is not so important as the useful and enjoyable book itself.

I might be wrong, but I always thought that the proper way for people to learn communication is though socialization. That is why it's so important for children to attend kindergarten and next school, so at the level of higher education kids learned by example how to interact with each other and develop their own model of communication. Apologies, but I prefer to pass the book, because concept hasn't convinced me.

I appreciate the thoroughness of the authors in presenting their ideas. It's evident that they invested significant effort in providing detailed explanations for their claims. The inclusion of practical exercises for readers to apply the concepts is a substantial positive aspect for me. I am certainly inclined to read this book. Thank you for your comprehensive review!

This is a well researched book which explains how we can adopt skills and then use these skills to develop our daily lives. It delves into health related aspects of good communication and how important it is to our mental health. It is important and possible to be our real, authentic selves and also possess empathy in our actions and interactions.

Non fiction, self-help books are not my cup of tea but I've read the review and the blurb and the book does sounds very informative, educational and useful. I believe improving your personal, physical and mental health is the most important thing any person should do in the first place because a healthy person can do a lot of things and will be even eager to do all those things. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting self-help designed around the concept of human communication. The book breaks down factors or "keys" that help lead the reader to develop what the book classifies as "healthy communication" while avoiding unhealthy communications. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Good review. Thank you. Communication is indeed the key to a healthy society. Making the effort to create such awareness is priceless. Most of society assumes that we communicate properly and this is an assumption that is rather costly and even life-threatening and destructive. I will make a note of this book.
