This is one of the science fictions close to reality. Very intense and fast paced story . Annihilation of world seems imminent. It also brings up human emotions , greed and corruption in very clearly. This is story of science fiction, horror, and action . Mel is the most compelling character and very appealing.

I hope X and Y overturn the 'Authority' in this book. The character Sun bin seems intellectual. The philosophical wisdom is something to look forward to in this book. With cliffhangers at the end of each chapter, this book is bound to keep the readers fixated in the story. Your review is excellent.

I love dystopian novels. I also love action packed books that keep me on the edge of my seat. This book seems like a perfect candidate for both of these things. I'm curious to see these compiling characters and how they progress on their adventures. This feels like the perfect book to get lost in. I'll definitely be putting this on my reading list. Congrats on BOTD!

Thank you for your review. I hope more readers will discover and enjoy the book. For those who enjoy action-packed dystopian tales with strong characters and a thought-provoking narrative, "Critical Habitat" is a must-read. It explores themes of survival, resistance, and the human spirit in a post-war society ruled by the heartless 'Authority' camp.

Critical habitat by Terrence King is a thoroughly gripping book about the emergence of a heroine who tries to rescue rebels from a rogue general after the world attempts to recover from a war that had ravaged it. Rebellious clans who had arisen and dream of a better world discover a secret weapon which is a nest of honeybees which could help them grow their food but the rogue General Speer is relentless until he gets all four districts under his control.
The conundrum now is that everyone has their agenda and who to trust is also an issue.

I am intrigued. Action-packed? Suspenseful? These are the makings of a thrilling story. The children X and Y also possess qualities that draw me in to read their stories.

This story seems thrilling. With X and Y running away from the Authority, they would have to be very inventive to actually succeed. The world building also adds to the allure.

I can imagine naming your main characters X and Y would make them mysterious and unpredictable and yet you mentioned that the characters were relatable. I think that would add an element of intrigue to the story. I enjoyed reading your review. Well done.

A dystopian story that captures the post-war society and the 'Authority' camp's oppressive rule sounds quite intriguing.
I wonder how it ended for the people. Congrats on the BOTD.
