This is a captivating historical novel filled with both love and loathing. The Prodigy Slave's ability to evoke a range of emotions, from horror to hope, made it an engaging read that left me eagerly anticipating the sequel. The book characters are also well-developed. Nice review.

An interesting review, Lily sounds like quite the fighter, even able to fight against fate. A love story between a slave and the master's son was quite the unique plot. Congrats on a great review.

As soon as I started reading, I was immediately immersed in this book, especially in Lilly's life. I mirror the sentiments of the reviewer, mentioning how Lilly is so full of life and easy to love. Although the book is heartbreaking and evokes various emotions, I'm anticipating finding hope and inspiration in her journey.

Today's BOTD is a romantic historical fiction about a prodigy slave and how a punishment changes her destiny. A little girl, Lily, is auctioned off by her father at a tender age to become a slave. I have always enjoyed a good romantic novel, but the background story for this one turns me off. I don't feel good or find it entertaining to read about the ill-treatment of humans, especially in a romance novel. Congratulations on the BOTD, though!

Such a well written review. I love that Lily was able to find succour in music and in James, despite her initial harrowing experience of being snatched away from her mother at such a young age.
This seems like a book I'd like to read.
Great review, thanks!

This seems like an interesting historical romance novel. Lily's back story seems heartbreaking, and her love for the piano could set her aside from others. I wonder what opportunity James presents for her. Your review is wonderfully written and has me intrigued. Congrats to the author on BOTD 😊

To be taken away from one's mother is truly painful. I really loved your review. You are able to convey your emotions to the reader so well. I sure do hope that Lily has a happy ever after ending.

This seems to be a very good story basing on your review, it gives a detailed feeling of emotions right from the time Lily was taken away from the mother and then looking at her time when she got acquainted to James their relationship and further to a time she had to go on a journey where she found freedom she never expected to have. Your review had given an interest in reading this book, though I've never been a person into romance books since I found some of them to be plain, I'll sure give it a read. Thanks

The cover of this book really caught my eye! It's quite attractive and I had already decided that it was a good read even before I read the review. I believe this book was exquisitely written and should have gotten a perfect rating. The reviews reason for rating it 3 is not good enough.

This is a historical romance that centers around Lily and her journey to make her talent known. I love a romantic story, but the premise of slavery perplexes me to be honest.

The exquisite writing and immersive dialogue draw me into the historical adventure. Your honesty about the occasional accent-switching adds a human touch to the review. Despite this, your enjoyment of the novel encourages me to overlook this aspect and dive into the romantic and hopeful journey.

Thank you for the great review. This looks like a great story. I have often been touched by stories of slavery, coming from survivors of slavery. So I think this will make for a great reading experience for me. I'd like to know how Lily's character grew since her childhood to adulthood, and all the nuances that come from being a slave, working for and being friends with the owner's son.
