It is enthralling to read that the character development is excellent. I would not have expected that a little help would start a domino that would lead to such a massive investigation. I look forward to reading this book. Thanks for the review.

I agree about the plot turning out to be unexpected because I had thought this was Charlie's story (from the title and from reading the sample). Thanks for the review!

Charlie's Diner has a very interesting plot. I was not expecting things to turn dark so quickly in the story. But it adds more excitement to the story. I look forward to reading this book to find out what happens to Ann. Congratulations on making book of the day!

The fact that Charlie dies before the story ends really made me wonder how does the author keep the story going with the absence of the person I presumed to be the main character.

This appears to be a crime thriller with some intreresting plot twists. I am glad to hear the characters are well developed, but do wonder how things turn out for Ann. Thanks for a detailed review, and congrats to the author on BOTD 😊

I'm always impressed by reviewers who juxtapose subjective and objective opinions without allowing the former to be determinant. So good job on that score. On content, Charlie's a disappointment, isn’t he? Exploiting Ann the way he did. Just when I was sympathising with him for his losses. It adds a dose or reality or believability to the story, though. Killeen can't be accused of creating one-dimensional characters.

"Charlie's Diner" presents an engaging narrative with unexpected plot turns. The character development, especially Ann's resilience, adds depth. The chapter numbering, while unique, doesn't diminish the overall compelling story.

Your critique of the chapter numbering method provides a nuanced view, but the overall positive impression assures me of the book's quality. The combination of humor and mystery, along with the unexpected plot twists, makes me want to experience the rollercoaster of emotions and events in "Charlie's Diner."

Wow, the plot is not what I expected, it is even way more than I thought. I began to see Charlie as a good guy and sympathise with him about the loss of his daughter until he had to exchange help for sex. Blrrh! But then I sympathise with him still.

Your detailed summary of "Charlie's Diner" paints a vivid picture of its unexpected plot. The complex characters, especially Ann and Molly, spark my interest. The mix of action, humor, and mystery, as well as the commendable editing, make it sound like a captivating read.
