I enjoy reading historical novels; therefore, "The Incarnation: Cleopatra's Story of Jesus," written by Arthur Telling, will add to my collection. This is a fun way to learn about ancient Egypt, reincarnation, the early years of Christianity, the letters of the Apostle Paul, and a heretical gospel, the Gospel of Thomas.

Thank you for sharing your detailed review of "The Incarnation: Cleopatra's Story of Jesus." It sounds like the novel explores a unique perspective on historical events and introduces unconventional elements to the traditional narrative of Christianity. Your balanced assessment, highlighting both positives and negatives, provides valuable insights for potential readers.

The author explains that fictitious narrative and dialogue have been inserted in the book, but he asserts that it’s not unlike the way it truly happened. Throughout the book, we learn that the Gospel of Thomas does not mention a crucifixion. Moreover, the author tells a completely different story of Jesus, but I have to tread carefully here not to give away spoilers.
Well reviewed.

I appreciate the amount of honesty in this review. Case in point:
It is hard to believe that Western scholars have collectively ignored such a radical alternate version of the birth of Christianity and its canons.
I was thinking exactly this as I was reading through the book’s description and introduction. History is what we make it and I enjoy creative spins on things based in reality (that’s pretty much the general baseline of fiction writing), but with stuff that seems particularly “out there,” you really have to be convincing when putting forth the idea that certain elements could be non-fiction.

Yet, there’s also this:
Above all, The Incarnation bears a deeply heartwarming underlying message: the Kingdom of God is in truth here for those who wish to see.
Now, this is a message I can wholeheartedly appreciate! Way to balance a strong (but plausible) negative with an uplifting overall positive!

I appreciate that the author does explain the fictitious nature of a lot of the writing. Unfortunately, this African queen tends to be portrayed in many untrue ways. However, this book provides lots of interesting information. Congratulations on book of the day!

Great Review! I am curious to start reading Arthur's book, The Incarnation. I fear that there is no time to do anything but read all these beautiful books that OBC offers. There are so many versions of what happened back then. I will be interested in reading this one to compare.

I have no issues with the far-fetched side of the stories, first of all, it is a novel, but also it is based on true facts and gives a possible interpretation. It is food for thought.

I am not a fan of books like these, but I am open to reading one. The book sounds intriguing and as a Christian, I would love to know more about the early years of Christianity coming from a different perspective. I am sure that it would offer so many ideas. Thank you for the review.

The review really dived into the most interesting part of the book, and as a christain I would like to know Thomas's view on the life and death of Jesus Christ. Plus, the detailed explanation of Paul's letter.

Congrats on BOTD!
The Story of Jesus' Incarnation through Cleopatra's Eyes It sounds as though the book adds unusual features to the canonical Christian story and examines a distinct viewpoint on historical occurrences. Prospective readers will gain important information from your fair evaluation, which weighs the pros and cons.

I'm not very religious so I'm not sure if this book is right for me. However, I do consider myself an open minded person and would consider trying it out. Apart from the editing issues mentioned, it does seem like a well written book. Congrats on BOTD!

The Incarnation: Cleopatra's Story of Jesus, written by Arthur Telling, is a novel based on history. But the theme explained in the review feels intriguing for me.
