In the heart of Kansas, President Gerard Bigelow and the First Lady, Janette Bigelow, take the stage to thunderous applause. The president unveiled an unprecedented military budget of 700 billion dollars. Simultaneously, across the world in Asia, a shadowy figure known as "Dear Leader," the Chairman of Homeland, conspires with General Lee to launch a missile attack on Kansas. Amidst this global turmoil, enter Colonel Rhee Su-jin, a rising star within the Homeland Peninsula, chosen to lead a select group on a covert mission in Central America. As the tension escalates, newlyweds Tom and Kelly embark on a romantic honeymoon on the Caribbean island of Honduras. Tom enjoys a diving expedition, while Kelly ventures into a seemingly innocent toy store that conceals a dark secret. Narrowly escaping with her life, Kelly becomes the target of mysterious pursuers. Can she evade capture? Will Colonel Rhee succeed in her mission in Honduras? Unveil the suspense and unravel the intrigue in this riveting tale.

E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is a captivating narrative that masterfully weaves suspense throughout its pages. The tale draws inspiration from real-world events, delving into the power struggles between nations vying for global supremacy. With an engaging plot, the story unfolds through intriguing shifts in scenery and emotions, leaving readers on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating each twist and turn. Amidst the impending disaster, the enduring romance between Tom and Kelly adds a remarkable layer to the narrative, underscoring the age-old adage that "There is no fear in love." The book is skillfully narrated from a third-person perspective, providing a panoramic view of the unfolding drama. Dive into this thrilling read that keeps you guessing at every corner.

The book is a gripping thriller that skillfully blends humor and action, showcasing the author's talent for maintaining a perfect balance. Tom and Kelly's idyllic honeymoon is abruptly disrupted by the menacing activities of terrorists, posing a direct threat to their homeland, America. What sets this narrative apart is the unwavering patriotism and dedication exhibited by the couple as they delve into the investigation of this terrorist group.

One remarkable aspect of the story is the profound love demonstrated by Senator Mike McBride for his younger sister, Kelly. His unwavering commitment to her safety and willingness to go to any lengths to ensure her well-being are truly commendable. The camaraderie and teamwork among the characters, including Tom and Kelly, CIA agent Steve Spalding, and the secret team of investigators led by Senator Mike McBride, comprised one of the most enjoyable aspects of the book. Additionally, the blossoming romance between CIA agent Steve and Sharon added a delightful touch to the narrative, providing an extra layer of intrigue to the story. This intriguing tale truly excels at portraying the power of teamwork and the complexity of human relationships within a thrilling context. Therefore, I rate the book five out of five stars.

There isn't a single aspect of the book that left me dissatisfied. It is impeccably edited, and I wholeheartedly recommend this story to anyone who relishes a blend of crime thrillers and romance.
